man thats crap because every freakin 360 iv had(3 different ones) all downloaded the same....slow as ****. The ps3 is no difference either. But seems like the PS3 demos are a little quicker then the 360 demos(for me anyways) iv heard everyone else say there demos take like 15 mins to download on there 360. I dont get it it takes me an hour to download a demo thats half a gig.I know it cant be my connection becuase i'v been in 3 different locations and still the same thing.Brickz187
See, it's the other way around for me... I'm going wireless on both and the 360 DLs MUCH faster for me than the PS3. I figured it was that the 360 wireless adapter is probably better than the internal PS3 one, which would explain the unreasonably high cost of the 360 adapter.

Hmmmm, I never thought of it that way but it's a very real possibility.Depending on how big they were, that could be normal.
For me, download speeds are god-awful. Peak conditions result in about 32kb/s. However, there are ways to download with your computer and transfer the files over, and with that way, I get 128kb/s.
My downloads are pretty moderate-fast. Iron man demo which was just under a gig took me about 5-6 minutes. I believe the longest demo that took me to download was probably RC cause it was a pretty big one.
At one point though, with one of the older firmwares, it was IMPOSSIBLE to download anything cause it was so slow. Now it's really fast actually. I don't have a 360 so I can't compare. Oh yeah and I'm wireless too.
I wish I could help with your problem but I don't know much about internet set-ups.

Thats probably it my 360 downloads way faster than my ps3 and my 360 is on a wireless connection and my ps3 is thru ethernet dont worry psn just needs to get updated to be faster.
I feel sorry for u guys. I got Virgin's 20mb optical broadband - at times I can download 5 megabytes (yes - megabytes) of data per second! Sue ur ISP!!!Brighty22
Uh you pay for 20 mpgs and get 5..I pay for 15 and get 13 mpgs. Maybe you should sue, Cause dude you just got raped by a virgin.
I have a hard wired connection from my modem to the ps3 and it take me like 10 minutes to download the big files. At one time yes the ps3 was slow but if you are still having problems, A your ps3 is somehow not right or, B there is something wrong with your connection or the way the ps3 reads your connection.
I honestly haven't experienced 99% of any of the ps3 problems people complain about.

I feel the same and I have maybe slightly less problems than you have had more like 99.99% of what is posted on here. My system is on a wireless network along with other PC's on the same network, some of these are also wireless.

Mine downloads pretty quick as well. I do have my PS3 wired to my router. I used to use wireless but then I found myself downloading more with my PS3 than my PC so I reversed it, now my PC is wireless. Either way it's not a big deal though since it has a download manager.
Unfortunately it has to do something with your Internet connection. I have never had a slow Demo download, depending on a file size - it's from 5-15 minutes maximum for the largest (1 GIG) file.
I have a wired Ethernet cable that is connected directly to my router. ;)
Just recently got a PS3 and I have this same problem ie Bourne Conspiracy took at least 2 hours to download on the PS3 where as it took about 10 mins on my 360 and I know its not my connection with 16meg download speed and the a NAT type 2 on the PS3. Besides like I said on my 360 it only took a matter of minutes to download the same demo.
Edit: Both systems on wired not wireless and have all open ports
