I was thinking of buying a ps3 is it a more stable system these days? I got one a few mo after they came out it kept locking up. I have always been a fan of GOD& MGS so Im thinking of buying one this weekend. If there Is anything i should pick up with the system plz post. also will i need pay to play online?

No you dont have to pay to play online, PSN is free .. And to be honest i have no clue what your talking about locking up, ive had my 60gb from almost console launch, and not no issues with locking up , works perfectly..

Yes, I also have no idea what you are talking about. I have a 20Gb from launch and it has never locked up or anything. It may have been the game you are playing though, I know Oblivion will do that sometimes on several people's systems. And online is free.

Yea i got a 60gb at launch and never had any problems with it at all.....And yes online is free just like everyone else has said. ;)

If your PS3 was locking up then it was defective.

PS3 has never had stability issues. Inept developers doing horrible port jobs on the other hand... Anyways, no reason not to own a PS3. Very solid, excellent system with great exclusives.
