[QUOTE="DaddyLongCaddy"][QUOTE="boostud"] Go outside and play, cause you obviously don't like gaming.
And the 360 failure has apparently been taken care of. They do back it up with a 3 year warranty now, so I couldn't care less.
If the PS3 offered some games that justify a $500 purchase, I'd be right out there to nab one. But so far, I haven't seen anything I can't live without. I'd like Gran Tourismo....but Forza keeps me just as entertained. I'd like to play Heavenly Sword...but for how short it is, I'm not gonna waste my money. You see what I'm getting at? To buy the console, and a game, with tax is just shy of $600. Thats alot for a few games.
To ME, its just not worth it. And I'm sure I'm not the only one looking at it from the point of view. Yea, your PS3 is a blue-ray player. Who cares, both formats are going to lose in the near future. It has built in wireless! woohoo, don't care. Hard wired is still the best option...don't kid yourself saying otherwise. It has a bigger hard drive and thats the only thing I like about it so far.

It has bulit in non-wireless! woohoo, don't care. Wireless is still the best option....don't kid yourself saying otherwise. It has a nice controller and thats the only thing I like about it so far.
Srsly though, I hope this doesn't go over your head. I'm trying to prove a point here w/ sarcastic posts. People have different opinions, different strokes for different folks. I've also owned 2 360's already, and plan to buy another when they get their hardware situation straightened out.
No, I do see what your talking about. I know you weren't just flaming me there. Thing is, 360 was out first and I adapted to that. There is always going to be games on one or the other, no doubting that. But so far IMO Sony took a crap on their customers. They promised lots, failed to deliver. They kept screwing up getting it out the door and delay after dealy was delt. THEN they released an unfinished product. The PS3 is not a bad machine, it was rolled out stupid. Sony threw too much into it and made it wrong in many ways. The cell, way overkill for what it is. All it does is deliver a burden to programmers. Is it power, yes..BUT its too complicated. Forcing Blue-Ray was another stupid move. I doubt its going to live...not with todays storage technology. And, the fact that everything will be 'on demand' over a network soon....both formats are doomed. All the PS3 is is an overhyped complicated protein folder that pushes their blue ray numbers. Its their leverage to finally TRY to win a format war. Who loses in the end? The consumer. Sony lies to its consumers to boost sales and stock.
Where are all the games? Don't kid yourself people....the games are NOT there for it. Why fight the argument for Sony saying their sub-par product is the best? Why help boost the sales if they don't deliver your needs? If it sells like crap maybe they will learn a lesson and do the PS4 the correct way. In the long run you win.
If sony can clean up their act and deliver what they promise...I will purchase a PS3 by the end of 2008. I want a game console, not an overpriced beta max.
Man, who are you talking to? If people want a PS3, they're going to get a PS3. If people say they enjoy their PS3, they arent lying, it's not like they're gritting their teeth and saying to themselves, "Must... play... Heavenly... Sword". No - people are enjoying their gaming experince on the PS3. The 360 is the one consumers should have stayed away from, a faulty product that took MS almost two years to fess up to, making consumers pay $179 before they finally gave them their money back. If I say I like my PS3 better than my 360 (which has died on me twice, which is why I ultimately stopped buying for the 360) then I mean it. I'm not saying it FOR Sony. I'm saying it because I mean it.
I'm not going to reply back to anything, because I hate system wars or whatever, but I cant stand someone acting like I've been tricked by some big name company because I enjoy their product.
