As others have said, simple research on your part would have shown that this was not a store update. It was a store revamp.

i like the layout better but i dont know about faster, i swear it was taking a minute for stuff to load like when you click on add on content and then click on disc add ons it takes a bit for even the first game to show up, much slower than the internet based one. this one is not connected like that anymore i have heard,

The thing that is faster, is when you click the icon the store pops up immediatly instead of the Please Wait screen. But they do need to improve the loading of icons...

Did anyone else experience what I did? After downloading the update, I went to check out the new store, and all the icons had that broken window looking picture, like the icon files were corrupted. Did anyone else get that, or did I just get a messed up update?!?!Deity_Slapper

I got a few of those. Don't worry about it, they will fix it.

Is this latest update really 20 gigs? I've read several sites where that has been discussed. I only have the 40gig version so this is a concern for me.

Definitly not. It is the same as any other update, just the store. It is probably 50MB.

i like the new look, makes it ezier to look at a bunch of items at once. but i too thought sony would have released some new demos or something.GodCLo
