I play my 360 on my monitor regularly. I just purchased a PS3 this morning, and wondering how it would work. I know it wont be full 1080, but would it be 720? Is it as easy to hook the PS3 up as it is with the XBOX 360?
Why wouldn't it be 1080? Some monitors are capable of going beyond 1080p. You should just be able to plug in your HDMI cable or DVI cable and be good to go.
It's only 17", max being 1280x1024 resolution. Which is 720p. With only 1 VGA port in the back. I'm going to purchase the: http://cgi.ebay.com/VGA-PC-Cable-HDTV-Adapter-Wii-PS3-Console-System-NEW_W0QQitemZ270347809377QQcmdZViewItemQQptZVideo_Games_Accessories?hash=item3ef1fc3261&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=65%3A12|66%3A2|39%3A1|72%3A1234|293%3A1|294%3A50
Would you mind sending me a message if this thing works or not. I don't personally need it, but a lot of my friends are gamers and it might be a useful tidbit of info some time down the road.
Instead of dishing out $35 on a cable why dont you think about upgrading your monitor? Just browse tigerdirect.com or newegg.com, youll probibly be alot happier.
