PS3 to monitor sound HELP

i connected my ps3 to my monitor with a hdmi to dvi adapter and a hdmi cable i then bought rca to sterio jack adapter and connected my AV cable with it

now the poroblem is i can barely hear sound from my speaker i turned everything up to max and i still cant hear **** i can only hear the sound only when theres a explosion while playing bfbc HELP

What type of speakers are you using? The reason I ask is because if you are using pc speakers they might not have an amp in them and rely on a soundcard for volume which your PS3 will not provide. This may not be the case but it would help to know what type of speakers your using.

The above speakers are passive - meaning no amp. The only way to tell is to look them up on the net. If they are powered like have to be plugged in a wall outlet they are probibly active meaning they have an amp.

mine speaker dont have to b plugged into a wall socket but it uses usb port unlike also my speaker is pretty much like the one on tiger direct

If your speakers have no power plug or are powered by USB, you have no amp or a very weak one. Some off-brand, amplified PC speakers can be had for anywhere from $15-$30. OR, you can use an old stereo or VCR to amplify your signal as well if they have audio-input.

the rca cable you have, are there two black circles on the male prong? it should look like this.
