I was playing Call of duty 4 for PS3 when i had a problem... my game stopped and i received the message error 80010514 .. i tried play again and my Ps3 didn't read the game.. i waited for one hour and i tried again but the problem persisted ... help me what i can do for my Ps3 ???

my firmware is 2.01

i'd recommend calling sony...and they'll probably tell you to backup your games and restore factory settings to see if the problem persists. If it does they have you send it back to be replaced.

try playing another PS3 game and see if it works ...

Also try turning off PS3 ( completly ) unplugging it - leave it for 10 mins or so then see it if it works ...

reset to factory default settings ...

if none of those work - then call SONY ...

This happened to me last year. Its easy to fix. Turn your ps3 on and hold the button. dont let go until it turns off again. Then turn it back on and it should fix the error. You just need to put your tv setting back and it should work.

Your Blu-Ray drive might have just died. Mine did the same thing a couple of months ago while I was playing NHL 08 (popped up a "Disk Read Error") and it wouldn't read anything (DVD, CD, Blu-Ray). Like CeeCee said, call Sony and they'll replace your system. It took them about 10 days to get me a replacement unit.
