As long as you are playing them at 720P or 1080P on an HDTV, then yes most should work. If you are playing on an SDTV then no you would likely get "unsupported resolution". Assuming you have an HDTV it should be fine. There's also lots of region free movies you can get from the UK. Supposedly some of the region B titles work as well, but it's hit or miss and I'm not brave enough to take chances. I only look at UK movies if it's region free, and/or the film is not yet available in U.S. (though sometimes certain things can actually be cheaper to import from the UK than to buy new in the U.S., this probably only applies to a very few titles and occasional box set).
I would be carefull, I have the impression some games have been region locked but most have not. Check with an import site to see if it is region free first. Hope this helps.

Hope this helps. games on the ps3 are 100% region free. on other consoles this isnt the case but with the ps3 all games are region free. i buy nearly all my games from asia or the us and have yet to come across a region locked 1 and i have yet to hear of anyone who has a region locked ps3 game (only rumors of bayonetta) . its only for blu ray movies that you need to check out if its region free or not
