ps3 update question...

it's a stupid question but i wanted to ask it anyways..

do ps3 updates differ in different regions or is all the same?

I am almost 100% sure all regions are the same but they might recieve them at diffferent times but they time difference is usually a couple of hours

using this dead thread to spring another ?. why is everyone complaining about losing the other os option, is it really just another way to have a computer in the house, or was this piracy related?
