ps3 users to be charged for online play?

Prob BS as iv heard nothing about this on any web site but i just got msg from a guy on my psn friends list that says sony will start chargeing for online play overthe psn on 1-12-09. and yea that date has come and gone lol. i think he ment 1-12-10. any way i just wanted to know if any one on here has heard any thing about this.

I'd be happy to pay a fee for PSN, but there would have to be improvements... especially with PS Store content (prices on there should drop too). hrt_rulz01

First of all. If it was true, then there would be tons of threads about how Sony *****. Besides, why would anyone belive such crap comming from such an unreliable source? Do you belive anything ppl tell you? Guess what: If you come to this board again, your Pc will blow up *woha, now you're affraid, right?*. Anyway, there have been some other topics of ppl beliving such things and if you really would have done proper research (2 minutes google it), then you wouldn't have had to create this topic anyway -.-'

Not true and even if it was I would gladly pay as long as it's the same price or cheaper then it's competitor. Now I wouldn't have said that 2yrs ago but the PSN has vastly improved since then.

well kaz said whatever is free on psn will remain free so i hope that is true... will suck if they charge for us to play online that is a major selling point for the ps3 too
