PS3 UT3 graphics better than Gears of War!!!!

"PS3 UT3 has better graphics than Gears of War according to Epic's vice president.

Speaking in an interview with Pro-G at the launch of the PC version of the game, that he was "really proud" of the PS3 game.

He said: "People are going to be pleasantly surprised. It's a really high end experience that pushes the graphics bar up even higher than Gears of War. There's more polygons, there's more stuff going on, there's more explosions and there's more things happening, so we're just really pleased with the way the game runs on the PS3."

Rein said that there is "something special" about playing UT3 on the PS3, and that while the speed of the game has been reduced by about 20%, "it feels just right to be playing it with a controller"."

Judging that GOW is a year old it's standerd for a newer game to look a bit better, but basically there is no noticalble differnence

Great to see UT3 gets good reviews for the PS3 version of the game. I will be buying the PS3 version over the 360 version.

Question: - If the graphics on UT3 are the best graphic on any console then will fanboys have to say the PS3 and the 360 are equal in graphics?

And it pushes the 360 to its limits (atleast you get that impression when you play it; frame rate issues, supra slow loading textures, little content on the disc)... I remeber at 1 point when GeOW 1st came out MS said the Unreal egine couldnt be done on PS3 due to its RAM...

I was wondering about the controls since I played the demo on my PC. On the PC it's much to fast paced to use a controller.

This is to be expected, Gears uses the same engine but is a year old and was developed on a slightly less powerful system.

Okay people I'm not trying to take ANYTHING away from Unreal Tournament, and this is PURELY based on what I've watched on Game trailers (which doesnt always have the best video quality), but from what I've seen I swear Gears looks better??

I haven't seen a lot of it to be honest, and am definately going to get into this game, but from what few clips I have seen I didn't think like the lighting and stuff looks as good? Before you start, I would LOVE this game to have better graphics than Gears, as I am soon to be a VERY PROUD PS3 owner...

Can anyone post some links of some decent videos?

Exactly. Understand people, that using the SAME engine (Unreal Enginge 3) on one game, and then on another game a WHOLE YEAR LATER will indeed see some improvements in the graphics.

So yeah, UT3 Looks better than Gears of War, but thats just not exclusive for the PS3 version. Remember this is not just a PS3 game, the 360 version will look better than Gears of War as well.

Also, Gears of War is no longer the 360's best looking game (though it is one of them). Bioshock, Call of Duty 4, Halo 3, Virtua Fighter 5. Even the soon to be released in the future games like Assassins Creed, Mass Effect and DMC4 have visual styles and improvements that UT3/Unreal Engine 3 does not.

Graphics aren't everything, but even still, geat lookiing games are great looking games, WHO CARES if one game has 999 pixels and another has 998...apparently fanboys do...
