Hello, I have a question and hopefully I will get an answer. Is it possible to get a Wifi USB Adapter that plugs into my PC for the Playstation 3 or do I need to buy a router? The reason I ask is because I know that a Wifi USB Adapter is available for both the Wii and DS.

you preety much need a router.

Id reccomend a router though becuase it means ALL your PC's + your handhelds + consoles with Wifi and online can use it rather than only 1 device.

yeah, but aren't routers more expensive and harder to setup? I'd rather use something simple and easy and that doesn't take up too much space on the desk.

And I am aware that PS3 has wifi built in. A wifi USB adapter is a device that plugs into a PC so that your PS3 wifi can pick up a connection.

You can get a good router for $30-$45. You can get a good N router for $60-80. You can get a gigabit N router for $120.
