who here thinks that the PS3 controller will have some kind of functionality like the Nintendo Wii?

i personally think it will be a standard kind of controller.

The only funtionality it shares with the wiimote is wireless and that's it, it isn't motion sensitive. The only sony peripheral that comes close to motion sensitivity is the eye toy.

There is speculation that the new ads being shown at the Convention Center suggest that the new controller design will adapt some of the Wii's motion style controlling. This wouldn't be the first time Sony has borrowed technology that Nintendo created. Rumble Pak anyone?

i think that they will reveal the eyetoy's new features which is, it scans your body and puts you into games such as tony hawks and it makes emotions with your face as well during games!!!! that will be kool!

Who cares. If you want nintendo then get it or if you want a xbox 360 then get it. I'm tired of people whining about sony copying when you can just support the system you want.

Joysticks in 3-d gaming (at least the analog ones) were first used by Sega on a Saturn game: dreamnights (or something like that, can't remember title >.> )

Its possible. Think of ways to improve controller, analog buttons, and now maybe some form of motion detection. I wouldnt be surprised and it wont even be stealing either. It still wont be a remote. Would be a good move, with good use in for example amplitude kind of games.

i dont think sony would copy somethin like the wii controller. how the hell could you play games like metal gear, devil may cry or resi evil , plus how could you play your old ps2 and ps1 games with a stupid remote

Well Sony is a big fraud u cant deny that, i mean c'mon they alwayz copy the next best thing their compatitors come up with...most obviose Xbox live...they cant do anythin of their own so they look over their shoulder to someone better...if most of u ppl havnt seen they've copied the "concept" of holding 2 controller parts with 2 handz also which is  Wii idea, but that controller was/is to release for the PS2, images were shown a while ago...on to games, Halo turned over to Killzone...Ninja Gaiden turned over to God of War...

i don´t like the controler of wii! i prefer the dualshock or even the boomerang controler

The point with Xbox Live is obviuos. Sony tries to copy it, I've got to admit that...but the concept of holding a Sticky Controller in front of the TV was developed a LONG time ago but Sony hasn't finalized this concept. I remember a picture of a guy who swung a torch on PS2 in 2002, I think! But now I've got something to say to your game listing 'Halo turned to Killzone' yeah I clearly remeber the Aliens in Killzone and the Banshee flights, Ninja Gaiden compared to God of War...great job, but what is about Devil May Cry or Onimusha? I've got one for you: Gran Turismo turned into Forza and MGS turned into Splinter Cell! Sounds stupid right? Now you know how I felt reading your post... and PS: I am not a Fanboy. I've got a Xbox too!

The sixaxis, basically has the technology of the nunchuck. Where you can tilt and shake it and it'll respond. Though the actual wii remote, nah. Unless you consider the ps3 guncon coming out later on that is.

It's gonna be the sixaxis+plus eyetoy.   Did everyone forget that Sony made a patent a while back?  The hardware will actually be better than the Wii, but the bad side is that not everyone will have a eyetoy.
