PS3 Wont let me save movies to hard drive!

i have been having a fair bit of difficulty saving movies to my playstation 3, i go to the gametrailers website and click WMV and when it gives me options of what to save it to, it does not include my hard drive!!?? it asks me to plug in a USB or memory stick, any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I didn't think you could download videos from websites to the PS3's hard drive directly.

Download them to your PC and convert them using this. The rest you know.

isn't WMV as supported video type?  I think the 1.6 update allowed the PS3 to play WMV.

u can. how else did i get 24 vids from gamespot and 12 from google and 10 from the store and 5 seasons of red vs blue

PS3 does not support WMV as far as I know. video needs to be in MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 format I think. I could be wrong though.

so how did you do it then? i'm curiousbecause when i tried todownload some gamespot stuff, my ps3 about had a meltdown...
