At the current time, the library is a bit weak but that's soon going to change with the releases or Lair, Heavenly Sword and Stranglehold. Games like Resistance: Fall of Man, MotorStorm and Ninja Gaiden Sigma are great for the system.
In the long run, it will prove to be a great investment as better games will continue to show up. I say go for it, but you'll have to wait a bit for games.
Yeah I agree for the most part. Yes it has a good library out now with games like resistence and NGS. Also, the next coming months, we have some big titles coming out like Heavenly Sword, Warhawk, Lair, Ratchet and Clank: TOD, and Uncharted Drakes Fortune. Of course 2008 yields some of the even bigger titles such as MGS 4, FF 13, Versus 13, Killzone 2, tekken 6, etc. Really it's a great investment for the future because it has a 10 year lifespan and a great library of games coming in the next few weeks and years. Not to mention it has great features. If you buy now, you can get 5 free blu-ray movies with it too, so really nows the best time to buy as the games are going to be rolling in. As others have said, the library is about to explode. I own both systems and am glad that I do. I actually want more games on the PS3 this year than the X360, which makes me think that the X360 may be fading. Its hard to say that though, as I am loving Bioshock right now.
I would encourage anyone who hasthe financial means to own obth systems, do so.
I already own a Xbox 360 but I was wondering if the PS3 is worth getting. I have come accross some money and wanted to know if this is a good investment. I know all you guys in this thread own one, but does it have a good library of games so far that you guys enjoy??? I know if I get one right now I will get Tekken DR but please give me some opinions and suggestions. Thanks BlackDiamond81
Yes. You may soon find your new system providing you with more joy than your old one.
Thanks for the feedback dude, do you play Tekken? How does the control feel to you? I've gotten so used to my Xbox controller so I don't know how it would feel, it would probally take some getting used to.BlackDiamond81
Well for Fighters the Ps3 controller does feel much better, though i always liked having Hori-sticks for fighting games like tekken or virtua fighter. The reality is that there isn't much difference between both controller except one is bigger and the analog stick is in a different position.
Tekken DR is a must have now with the online, dojo system, survival and leaderboards coming out pretty soon.

BOth the PS3 and XBox360 are two of the most FANTASTIC gaming machines ever to be released!!! I own both systems and the Future potential of both is Amazing and I love them>>>>
I havent really wanted to buy any PS3 games yet tho, I dont play too many games on it and its dissappointing right now but the Future will be AMAZING!!!
I'm loving all my games on 360 right now and will continue to in the FUture>>>>
Neither system will be cancelled out by the other and as I"ve said they are Both Extremely PowerFul!!! SO lets just enjoy them!!!
And my answer to you is yes I"m glad you bought one, add me if you like = D
I own both. Though i see you just bought a ps3...hold on to the receipt. Fisrt thing you are going to do is want games. Tekken DR is very good, so thats a must buy. But now you need a second controller...the problem is, do you buy one now or wait till the rumble controller comes out? Will older games like Tekken DR use the rumble features? I dont know. If you have a 1080p tv, Tekken DR will look sharp as hell. Great, now you have Tekken but you want some real solid PS3 titles that you cant get on your 360. So, you go to the store and look at the shelf....Resistance, Motorstorm, Ninja Gaiden Sigma....thats about all you have to chose from right now. Depending on your preference for FPS, Racing and hard as nails action game, your choices may even be more limited. Next, try out some online play with Resistance...that is after you go through the registration processes, firmware uupdates and software updates. Nice smooth online play with 40 people is headed your way, ..but wait, you want to talk to these people right? I mean, if you have had nice experience with Live you want to do that with the ps3, right? So now you have to fork over $40 for a cheap blu tooth headset, then figure out how to set it up. Great, thats done, now try talking to someone in the game...there be 40 people playing but you would swear it was a ghost town.
I really would like to get your feedback on your newly aquired ps3, just to see if im off base with anything i said.

Hey dude I haven't playedanything but Ninja Gaiden and Tekken DR and they both are awesome.I admit coming from Live to PSN may be a little shakey at first buti'm sure it will smooth out. I still will keep things like Madden, NBA2k on360 so I don't think I will worry about the online play very often except for the PS3exclusives like MGS4. Iwill hold off for the rumble controller and the headset for right now and see how that goes. Ido feel what you are saying about the lack of titles right now but that will change soon i'm sure. The intangibles are thethings that I like meaning the web browser, music player (which youcan fast forware and rewind)and a better streaming media than my Xbox has. Also I will receive 5 free blu-ray dvd movies which seems pretty cool, I appreciate your information and I will see how this pans out.
