hey guys, i have been a gamer for more than a decade now, and from my experience i realize that one thing is missing, and that one things is one universal gaming network, for all the systems, meaning that we can play a ps3 game for instance, COD5, with xbox360 and PC users. i believe that this would creat so much fun and instead of excluding others because they dont have the same system, actually would creat a new gaming environment for us gamers. but 'no' so far, systems manufaturer are too busy trying to sell their system, while they could actually create a new kind of competition between them. i look at it as in faithful players will buy a ps3 an xbox or a pc depending on what they prefer, instead of having to buy a new system to play with their friends cause they can't with theirs, i really find that ridiculous. already it took them a decade to have universal games, now we need to wait how long to have a universal online network. it frustrates me, and im sure it frustrates millions if not billions of other gamers. already there is an economic crisis world wide, stop trying to get the most money out of us, for god's sakes... i mean sony and microsoft, dont you have enough money already!rralph971enough money and a huge business can never be said together
the answer is money. like someone said, it wont happen on this generation of consoles. and then, you d have to think from sonys and microsofts viewpoint: why?
They wouldnt make money on it. You wouldnt feel the need to buy two systems if it were so. (for online third party games).
That would be nice till all the people on PC who mod everything and hack every window possible starts cheating. I think it should be universal excluding PC, theres just too much you can do to a game on a computer. thirteen_zombieAgreed, i have all three you mentioned but it would be nice to play a multi plat game against anyone no matter the system. It is nice to see someone care about gaming that much, only if you would put this thought and energy into something worth while. Eventually cross platform gaming will come about, but before that happens a lot of changes are going to occur in this country before you see this idea become reality.
