I love games and I have a xbox360 and wii. I was thinking about getting a ps3 because well i had the ps1 and ps2 and they were both good systems, but the ps3 i know they have some awesome titles like metalgearsolid (loved that series) resistance and stuff but what else is there? i know the ps3 is going to have better graphics than the xbox once developers figure out how to use the ps3's capabilitys but what games are out there or will be out there that are not going to the xbox or pc also because i dont wanna spend 600 for a ps3 when the same game will come out for the xbox or pc. So if you could help me out that would be great. with that in mind will it be worth it to get a ps3 if I already have a good pc, xbox360, and wii?
I would say that if nothing looks that appealing now, then wait a couple years and get it for a lower price. There are lots of games now, and your on a gaming site. So it just takes a little research.
actually, more games are on 360/pc than are on ps3/pc. that came out kind of confusing, but i hope it makes sense.
exclusives? theres a ton. folklore, heavenly sword, lair, warhawk, FFXIII, recently Haze, MGS4... the list goes on and ON! basically, if you have an ok pc, youll be able to play half of 360's "exclusives" anyways.
i faced the same dillema myself, I own a 360, PSP, PC and added a PS3 to the collection. IMO if you can afford the PS3, it is worth the money! There are a ton of big games coming out soon, BlueRay DVD is awesome, and revisiting some of the classics like God of War 1 etc is great. I love all my consoles, I would recommend you get one.
And I probably forgot a bunch, but those are the first ones off the top of my head. I currently own Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Resistance, Warhawk, Oblivion, and Tony Hawk's Project 8. All are wonderful. Buy a PS3, I love mine, you'll love yours.
Warhawk is the best online game that's been available in some years... that's out now. Heavenly Sword is looking like a great purchase and it'll be out in two weeks. Lair is a must buy for me but that one is getting mixed reviews. Haze & Ultimate Tournament will be two of the best shooters out this year, both available only on the PS3. Uncharted looks amazing and looks like it'll be pretty fun to play. Then there's games like Folklore, Ratchet & Clank, and Eye of Judgement.
Point blank, the PS3 has a load of titles that will not be available on the 360 this year. Warhawk is so freakin addictive, it's worth the price of admission all by itself.
I hope that you do some research before deciding on getting a PS3. I am personally keeping my PS2 until the PS3 price drops more than $100. Don't base your decision on fanboys who have the system.

lol, both of ya are right, but this is part of my research lol. but whats the biggist hdd in the ps3 is it 80gb's?, and if ya could could the people who own or have played the ps3 give me some pros and cons to it from what you have experienced? Thanks :)

I got ot say I agree with this, only the PS3 dosent have to many good games for me atm, but im not complaining, since I got alot of games for the 360 i havent played yet. And more comming, I would like it if PS3 dident get any good games for me until I ran out, so i can dedicate my time to one of the system at a time :)
I doubt the price will drop on the PS3 for a while. so I would just buy it now, and I would be ready for whatever games you might want at a later date.
yea i will wait, ( and i am hurting for cash, the comp was my bros but he went to college so i got it, the xbox was a christmas present, and the wii i saved up for :) it feels better when you pay for something with the money you earnd :) )
i would wait till next year. thats wat im doing. 360 is going to have an awsome line up this q4 2007 and q1 08 but untill q4 08 i dont see anything to big in 360s future so wit till next year
If you're unsure at the moment, wait. A PS3 is gonna cost you a fairly big chunk of change for something you're not even sure you want yet. If I were you, I'd wait till around Xmas when there's more titles out for PS3. That said, Warhawk is one of the best online games I've played, and Ninja Gaiden's one of the better offline games I've seen in a while.
But, again, that's only my opinion. Watch some trailers, ask some more people, and if you're still unsure, WAIT.

I've had the ps3 since december and I will tell you it's a great system with a lot of great features and games. It's definetely worth the purchase especially if you liket he ps1 and ps2 as most of their game franchises are coming back exclusively on the ps3.
