PS360 Controller

You obviously never used one. I prefer my 360 controller over my PS3 controller. I hate the Ps3 analog sticks and the controller is so small. The analog sticks shouldn't be so close to each other and it shouldn't be so loose. Not the best design if you ask me....

From experiance and no Bias whatsoever I can say the PS3 contoller is better and more comfortable than the 360's

better dpad.  I like the surface of the buttons and I like the symmetry of the analogs.

360 has better sticks and trigger buttons.  ps3 controller has a much better d-pad.

We all know the 360 controller has a much better shape than the PS3 controller.

I was gonna say exactly the same thing as you.

To the TC, dont go saying your opinion as FACT, there is no perfect controller. the D-pad on the 360 sucks big time, so unless you aqre planing to play only FPS, both controllers are good choices.

I agree. The 360 controller is just too big and chunky for my liking, just looks like a big fat blob with oddly placed nobs (aka analog sticks). 

360 has better sticks and trigger buttons.  ps3 controller has a much better d-pad.

Yea the D-Pad is better but how many games actually use the D-Pad anymore. All i use it is to switch weapons or something minor. The sticks on the PS3 really needs improving they are just too loose.

i think its all about what you are used to. i didn't have a ps2 but i had an xbox. So after a few years playing the xbox the 360 controler feels nice but the ps3 controller is awkward. hence, i think the comfort level is based on what you are use to.callen3

bla bla bla bla, I prefer my PS3 controller over my x360 controller. I hate the 360 controller, it's too bulky and the analog stick ? total garbage.

Glad somebody figured out how to do this.

Now I can buy a PS3 with confidence- I'm too used to the original Xbox controller (not the smaller Controller S, the original) and holding the PS2 controller was absolutely painful for me. I felt like I wasn't really holding the controller at all and the thumbstick positioning was just downright wonky to me.

I see myself with a regular controller and one of these- I'm sure my girlfriend (with much smaller hands) will appreciate the SIXAXIS and I can enjoy the 360's design.

I think it would be quite possible, given what he said in the article. The boards are the same exact size, so it should be just as easy to swap it the other way around.

the PS3 controller sucks. and yes it is the same thing we have been using for nearly a decade now, and to think they were gonna replace it with a boomerang? u gotta be kiddin me. sure the concept controller looks ergomonic but it looks nasty as hell. and of course ppl are gonna chose the old one over it...look at it!! sony stresses how this is next gen gaming, but yet use a decade old controller...no excuse. i cant wait till they implement rumble back, n hopefully change some design tweeks like offset analog sticks.

Fighting games, like VF5 and MK2, use nothing but D-pad. All 2D games will use D-pad as well. ;)

I actually prefer the 360's controller for some games, like shooters, because of the analog stick design and placement but I still think the Sixaxis is the overall better controller for my hands.

ive used both too....i like the ps3 one cause its a lot lighter....and no need to put batteries.....the 360 feels better tho.......but i hate the fact that the buttons get screwed up pretty fast on the 360 one

I like the Dualshock 3 more than the 360 controller because of

• the R2/L2 buttons
• the d-pad
• the analog sticks
• the shape

So the Dualshock 3 gets my vote.

Yeah the DS3 has the best weight by far and the rumble doesn't make my hand go numb like other controllers *cough* Xbox 360 *cough*.

Though the 360 controller is waaaaaaaaay sexier

The reason I like it so much better than the SIXAXIS is the fact that I'm not afraid that I will break it by applying too much pressure when I'm playing my PS3. The Dualshock 3 feels sturdy and well-made whereas the SIXAXIS feels flimsy - that honestly made all the difference to me - that, and I can finally feel some rumble in Uncharted and Resistance. :D

I know what you mean there, mine feels sorta "loose" when in CoD4 i'm mashing L3 to sprint.
