PS3/PSN October 5th Surprise?

What do you guys think it is? At first I thought it would be the new PS Home makeover, but why would Sony announce it again? I say it's probably something for PSN because Sony just rolled out the Video Unlimited service and it looks like something big along the way.

It's on a Wednesday next week. It's probably about the PS Home remodel since it's about to get out of the beta stage, but I hope it's for PSN mostly. We'll just have to wait and see.

I'm a guessing a price drop on the PS3, or a bunch of games are going greatest hits.

I think PSN is teaming up with apple & coming to Iphone 5 (iphone 5 being announced on the 4th & being released on the 5th) to compiete with Xbox live on windows phones.

It had a whole bunch of stuff from other PS3 games in the trailer so I'll say: Super Smash Bros. PS3 Edition or Soulcaliber with PS3 characters.

I hope its not Home related. Home was so boring, I don't know if one update could change that. I was thinking maybe a Vita release date commercial or a new Long Live Play commercial? My hopes were super high before, but I'm going to lower them. It is probablynot going to be something to spectacular.

I've heard nothing like that, where did you get that info from?

I am hoping a psn major update. I know.. I know why fix what is not broken? But we've had the same interface for the last what 7 years? Whenever the psp came out.. its time for a little change. Xbox has a cool interface that constantly gets updated but ps3 never really sees big updates. Just slight changes.. like sparkles.. lol

My 2 guesses are going to be 99% wrong. I'm thinking maybe they're going to start charging for PSN being that the 2 soldiers put money in the cup/jar thing before going into a room with others OR for a price, you can cross platform with PC gamers via Steam.
