PS3's defining moment

Warhawk made me go, "Oh my god! This is the best online multiplayer game I have ever played."

Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction made me laugh harder than any game I have ever played.

For all of these "mediocre" games that the PS3 has, I'd say that's a pretty good start.

Yea I played the Ratchet and Clank Demo and I couldn't stop laughing at the Groovitron that weapon is just too damn funny.

Thats probably going to be one of the next games I'm going to buy.

My man PS3 has already had it's defining moment with Uncharted, the game is amazingly gorgeous and the visuals are backed up

by awesome gameplay.

Yea I mean that is really the truth behind it. Will Kratos be the one who does that? Will GT 5 be the one? But I agree, and Uncharted and a few have already did that some. But not in the way that over blasts Falo and Mass effect. But thats exactly what alot of it comes to, and I think 08 can do that. And I think from their you just build off of 08. Late 08 looks vary solid for the PS3, no one doubts that. And maybe some of those games are mid 08 or early 08?

I've yet to be astounded by a ps3 exclusive game, Warhawk was fun, but doesn't compare to cod4 online for me. Heavenly sword was above average, but nothing worth ponying up for a console. I'm actually starting to wish i got an xbox, it's really starting to feel like I don't have much of a library to choose games from. I love the ps3, but i'm wondering if i should have waited before getting it.robmonga2

I just bought an Xbox 360 and I'm trying to decide on a game to get for it. My own personal taste in games has shown me that the only exclusive titles on Xbox 360 worth owning are: BioShock, Mass Effect, The Orange Box, and Gears of War.

There are no action adventure games in that list. Just lots of shooters and an RPG with a combat system that mimics a shooter. Where is the variety in that?

Don't get me wrong, the games I listed are great games, but all you do in all of them is shoot things...You'd have a pretty hard time arguing against that...

BioShock is something special though...a highly immersive, story driven FPS that doesn't have online multiplayer? Sign me up.

For the record, I own 10 PS3 games: Resistance: Fall of Man, Fight Night Round 3, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Oblivion, Warhawk, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Clank Future, Call of Duty 4, Guitar Hero 3, and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

Just wait for next years exclusives if the ones out right now don't interest you. Don't go and trash what's available just because it doesn't appeal to you. There are plenty of really good PS3 games available.

Resistance.

I couldn't believe they had such a solid title with amazing AI, graphics, and physics available Day 1. It was the most engaging game I had played of the next-gen offerings and I owned a 360 with 14 games at the time.

I agree with you on Warhawk and Heavenly Sword. I'm still haven't gotten Uncharted yet, but I play the demo most of the time I turn on my PS3. I rented Resistance once and never got around to buying it. So yeah, right now those really are the defining games of the PS3.

I don't know about Ratchet & Clank though.

You said exclusive titles...I'm sorry but, Bioshock, The Orange Box and Gears of War are also PC games...and frankly, they're much better on the PC.

Resistance, Ratchet and Clank, and most of all, Uncharted made me choose the PS3

Anything made by Insonmiac or Naughty Dog is gold

also: MGS4, Killzone 2, GTAIV, GoW3, KHIII, Home, and others will all have their defining moments for me on the PS3

Well there is a lot of pressure on MSG, Killzone, and Final Fantasy, but if they turn out as good as they look or what we here I think its really going to make the Playstation 3 a lot more appealing. MSG has always stepped up the the plate so it maybe the game to do it.rahul_batta

Killzone 2 has a lot of pressure, since the first one wasn't very well received. But when has a Final Fantasy or Metal Gear Solid game not delivered upon their promise? I am sure XIII and 4 aren't gonna be the exception to that rule.

Yep, I just got a 360 too and I have to say I use my PS3 everyday 2hours a day, and the 360 once or twice a week to play Mass Effect and Gears, I thought Halo was crap personally...

Hahahahaha.. I can't believe there are still fanboys talking about dead rising. Are there really people out there that thought it was a good game? I thought it was boring as heck. Please, give someone a real reason to buy a 360 other than to download movies and tv shows.
