PS3's from other regions

If I was going to buy a PS3 and it was being shipped from, lets say Japan. Will it work for me here in America? Would all I need to do was buy a newplug for the wall?

Cool, I am thiunking about getting a Gun Metal Gray PS3 and it seems Japan has the most of them.

i have a american ps3, so i can playjapaneese games or any other type of region on it?

All PS3 games are for sure region free. If you have an American PS3 you can play a game that came from Japan. My thing is I want to buy a PS3 system that would come from a different country and I am worried I will not be able to use the plugs from my American PS3 with it.

Also in japan i think they different prongs(the things of the end of the power cable). I not for sure but i think they do.

Yeah, the end of the power cords are different, which is why I need to know if the power cords for America fit into the system itself of the PS3 from Japan. Also the same with the cords that goto the TV.
