PS4, did they say if you still got free online access like ps3?

I was watching the conference but got distracted by the neighbor at the door for a few minutes. Did they happen to mention if the party chat, friends list, using youre netflix account and access to game multiplayer is free like on ps3?

And thus, suddenly everybody's fine with this because Sony's doing it. Sony did a lot of things right, but this negates all of it. The very idea that you have to pay extra to play a basic feature of a game you already paid full price for is laughable. Even Gamespot had an article demonising the practice. Now people don't care because they don't have to pay extra to borrow games WHICH LITERALLY EVERY OTHER CONSOLE HAS DONE BEFORE.

I always was wholely against the idea of idea paying extra for playing games online just because XBL gold cost money to do so while sony did it for free. But now that the playing field is equal I still dont like it but I will admit PS+ is the far superior choice since you get 5 games a month, discounts on PSN store purchases, cloud game save storage, full game trials and more. So really the first month pays for itself in the games Ill get access to at no additional fee's.

So I can justify me paying for multiplayer because sony gives so much more in return than just multiplayer. Hell the free games in this month alone are more than 50 bucks to buy them, and they are good quality games not old games or cheap little games. I just feel like its worth the money vs. XBL gold because it wasnt till recently they started giving free games for subscribing and even then its only 2 games a month and you dont get store discounts.

Plus I have a vita so its nice Ill get vita games as well.

PS+ is absolutely worth it. I'm sure some people will complain, but even if you don't play online the benefits of PS+ are quite astounding. All the free content and discounts pay for the service probably within the first couple months of your subscription.

It should also be mentioned that MP will remain free on PS3 and Vita. And you'll only need one sub to PS+ to get free content across all three platforms. What's not to love about that?
