Its good to see you are still kicking Monkeyspot :)
I read on the Gaf the its apparently not that much more powerful then what the Wii U is going to be. At least the CPU anyways. Definitely more RAM not sure about GPU though.
It looks like they just want to refine the graphics of this generation make it a slight upgrade and just have games look cleaner and run better with ease. Were reaching a point now where even if the machines are super powerful, most developers don't have the resources to use it.
Does that mean the PS4 will be out soon??gemugurl
No its just a rumor my prediction is that we won't see it until 2014.
Also I get the feeling that companies, in this case Sony, 'leak' this type of information to get feedback from the community's reactions.mav_destroyer
I am with you there. Look what happened when there were rumors about no used games. People went nuts everywhere. Even though there was never any real cause for concern, next gen anyways. By leaking some info that is in the vicinity of the eventual specs, they are able to test both the customers and the developing communities. As long as the system is easy to develop for and offers enough potential to keep developers busy for many years, people will be happy. All these specs are moot if we don't get next gen games that utilize next gen hardware.

Yes, that's why I make sure to voice my feedback in these cases. I hate it when someone comes and tells me "If you don't like it, don't buy it! Shut up and gtfo...".No, it's important to express our opinions (both positive and negative) in these cases otherwise we'll end up with games/consoles that no one wants to play. I know companies take the reactions from gaming communities very seriously and they often leak rumors on purpose to gauge the kind of reactions they'll receive.
