PSN Card Won't Work

Hey everyone, i bought a card from the store about 20 minutes ago and now tha im home it won't work when I try to redeem it on my master account. I know the code is right. I've re-entered it over and over. Is this from the hacking that happened? If so I'm pissed because I wanted MAG.

I'm not sure if PSN is the same, but whenever I bought XBL points the cashier had to swipe the card as if it were a credit card. Did the cashier do that with the PSN card?

It *COULD* be that the card itself wasn't activated or something, but, who really knows. :?
