It's maintenance, unscheduled i think but anyway, i was on steam last night and booted off and disconnected about 6 times. Atleast with PSN it's one big one instead of 20 small ones.

Looks like the money they've made and have been charging from PSN+ subscribers to make a better service has done squat for server stability. Sony just doesn't have the technical proficiency to run an online service on par with other companies. PSN+ will seem like a rip off if they cant get their act together. This is no better than how it was when Sony first went into online services.

Where have you been for the past 5 years? Online gaming defines this generation. Things change. I don't care about saving the world with a cliche hero. I just want to play competitive games with people across the country.

You know the first 4yrs for the PS3 when everyone was saying Live was better, I would always say it was ridiculous to say that, because while it didn't have all the bells and whistles of Live, it was just as functional. But this year Sony has really dropped the ball on that, thankfully I have always been able to use Netflix even when PSN was down or I would be more annoyed. But this year with them, its constant ToS changes, firmware updates and problems; I mean just downloaded the firmware update last night and wasn't it suppose to be about stability? And then the service instantly goes down lol. This wasn't happening last year or two years ago, what is the problem this year?

Yeah there are too many brogamers nowadays. People threatening to sell their consoles because of one day without PSN? lol. I could see people getting worried about a repeat of last time but that's a little extreme.
Well I'm signed in right now, but to the TC, do whatever you feel like, don't listen to the fanboys. I am myself a bit upset of Sony's online service this year, but so far nothing to make me want to sell my PS3.
No service is perfect, how many times are websites down for either maintenance or some error? The more complicated the world becomes the easier things break down. If I stopped visiting every website that stopped worked due to some reason I may as well not bother with the internet all together. PC gaming is no different, services like Steam tend to go down as well. Like I said, no service is perfect.
