it has been working on PSN all the time there but when i came 2 lebanon it didnt work at all!

NOTICE : its a NTSC-Jp version , so i was thinking that maybe because lebanon is a pal country , its PSN can't work on NTSC systems , and if so should i have 2 buy a new PAL one?

Explain your problem with more detail.

Is only PSN a problem or you don't get internet connection at all? Can you browser the internet? (try to open google) When you preform internet connection test, what does it say?

thnx for replying!

as for your question, yeah i can browse the internet normally but i can't log in to PSN

when i test the connection, it tells me that IP succeeded but internet connection failed (error 80710102 an error occured during the communication with the server , this is a DNS error)

Ok.

Contact your Internet provider and ask them to tell you your primary and secondary DNS and enter them manually

Normally you will not enter zeros

Your default router and primary and secondary DNS will not be the same

If you have a PC try Forward the Ports for PSN. If you don't have, someone with laptop can connect to your router and do it . Here is the link on how to do that: CLICK

Having an NTSC machine in a PAL country *is* a problem, and contrary to what some people say, it has nothing to do with the region of PS3 discs.  NTSC/PAL affects VCRs, TVs, etc.  However, it is related to the video signal and has nothing to do with whether or not you can connect to the PSN.  I've tried an NTSC machine in a PAL TV and, if I recall, the screen was completely jumbled up -- like "snow".

That doesn't seem to be your problem, so don't worry about it.  BTW, NTSC/PAL is related to your country, but you can sometimes buy a TV that is not from your region.  i.e., you might be able to find an NTSC TV in Lebanon.  Or, a dual NTSC/PAL tv.  It depends on the country (some sell it, others don't or cannot?).

It would be very strange if your ISP doesn't support PSN.  Why?  Because they don't have to do much to allow you access; in fact, they have to do more work to disallow you access.

Maybe you should contact Sony -- I mean, the Sony closest to your home.  And ask them if any customers of your ISP [give them the name] has had complains about getting on the PSN.  If so...change your ISP.  :-)

Also, does anyone you know have a locally purchased PS3 and can get on the PSN fine?
