PSN Update 06-07

June 7, 2007 - PlayStation 3 owners looking for new content this Thursday will have a lot of trailers and videos to check out thanks to the PlayStation Store. Perhaps the most hyped game trailer that will be available for download this afternoon is the Heavenly Sword trailer from the recent Sony's Gamer's Day media event. Action addicts will also want to check out the latest Stranglehold video that will show off new environmental damage sequences. Baseball fans looking for additional content will be able to check out the latest MLB 07 video today as well, which will showcase the online features of the first party title.

There will be more than game trailers released in this Thursday's update. New movie trailers for Michael Bay's upcoming robot epic, Transformers, will be downloadable this afternoon as well. There will also be a trailer for the upcoming release of Bruce Springsteen's latest live concert on Blu-Ray, Bruce Springsteen with the Sessions Band: Live in Dublin.

We'll keep you informed about what's being posted on the PlayStation Store as soon as it becomes available.

the update that I want is being able to have custom sound tracks. I WANT THAT. when sony, when will we get that?

Your thinking Firmware, and i dunno why everyone keeps ranting on about Custom Soundtracks in games, it was an afterthough on the 360 and thats exactly what it feels like, i used it once in dead rising and that was it, and ive owned it for nearly a year. XMB during gameplay is something fundemental we need. This on the other hand is just a bleedin store update.

CUSTOM SOUNDTRACKS ARE NOT THE MOST IMPORTANT THING! It's not even important at all. Go get a 360 if you need it that much.

I'm cool with game and movie trailers.  I like downloading them to have an impressive collection of animated thumbnails. 

I was just asking when we could Have it. I know it's just a store update, and I don't really care about those, But I would love custom soundtracks in SOME games. It's the reason I haven't gotten a sports or racing game yet.

Custom Soundtracks are the devs. responsibility.  The game needs to be coded to pull music from the HDD.

Now accessing the XMB and playing music OVER the game can be done via a firmware update by Sony. 

Heavenly Sword im up for that i cant wait.BUt when can we get the demo i think maybe after Lair demo or after the big E3.

you TOO i love making those for some reason. like with the wheelman i made it loop so the chaser car flys off the ramp and hits the teruck exsplodes then the good car makes a 90 degree turn drives down a lane and all over agin it looks like one perfect continuos loop. :P

custom soundtracks would be cool, if i had a reason to blow the dust off and actually turn the thing onmisterkhan
