looks like HD movies will only be rental. Standard Definition are the ones you can keep on your hard drive sorta like buying DVDs. Sony just wants to encourage people to buy Blu Ray movies if they want to own the movies in HD

Cool for people who want it, but I have no interest in this.

If I want to watch a movie I'll buy it on Blu-ray.

this is nice, but wouldnt it take some time to download 6GB HD video files? i think it is faster to just go to a video rental store and rent some blu rays.

hah, true, i didnt think about that. Well i could use the capcom excuse and go make a sandwhich lol.

or i could just decide on a movie in the morning, download that day then it'll be ready for me to watch that night, since thats when i normally watch movies. Also this is good if you want to see a movie after the video store closes
