Whats your excuse for not having a headset or ps3 eye mic? or atleast using it on MP games? i find it so annoying that hardly anybody uses them in team games. kinda a reason why alot of people prefer live prolly. so get your sh1t together and get a headset they are cheap..

I love the fact that when I go into an online game there isn't a handfull of people screaming down their mics like drunk monkeys, cause thats all the majority of people who do use their mics do. . To those people who do use their mics for tactical talk and non-screamo conversations, well I haven't met you yet hence why I have a poor opinion on online communication :)

I really don't like it either, especially in team based games. I can understand wanting to chat with friends only but still.

I have a mic and I use it for MW2 only when I play with my friends. I like how there are not a bunch of little 5 year olds screaming and yelling into their mics. Thats one of the reasons I got the PS3 in the first place.

Did you choose not to read the second sentence? It's also funny how you can enter an online match, not communicate throughout the match and still win. The whole "hinders the team games" is just a garbage excuse.

your garbage, try a battlefield game. a game with objectives. trust me you need to be able to say crate B go. stick to single player buddy, its ok some people just arent very competetive. to the guy with the bunch of 5 year olds yes, theres less kids on ps3 so no worries. i notice most people with headsets are 20+ i guess the kids cant afford them.

everyone talks about live but my experience with live was cool; psn is cool too but hen you reach a level as a gamer either you know what needs to be done and your team clicks or it dosent: and this does not require a mic for this chemystery.a mic is cool for stuff talking and calling out enemy spots; all the extra chatter is annoying unless its regular friends or people you game with normally.

your whole lvl as a gamer is garbage, this only works when everybody has been playing the game enough to know how to play it. take the bad company 2 demo. a bunch of cod degenerates playing thinking its about KDR, so they arent defending crates etc. they need to be told its a "team game" not how many kills can i get before i lose.

You really don't HAVE to. Most people are smart enough that they all know what the objectives are and they use common sense to get the **** done. And like with MW2 90% there is at least one person on each team that has a mic that kind of takes charge and everyone still listens.

im glad you think most people are smart enough. maybe in games as dumbed down as mw2, run in circles kill as many as you can b4 u get killed and respawn. im talking about real competeitive play here. objectives based games. uncharted2, bad company 1/2 etc. and trust me ive come across plenty of people that dont understand what to do.

Again, I played the Bad Company 2 beta without communicating and still won matches. Face the facts, you don't need to talk to win. Stop making a big deal over nothing "buddy":)

in all honesty it depends, on a game like bfbc2 (judging from the demo) and MAG yes it is really suggested to get a mic, here as in a game like mw2 you really dont need it, but it's still nice to be able to talk to people you know IRL :D

When I play games I hardly ever use a headset (I have one USB and a couple Blu-Tooth headsets that work very well on the PS3) but choose not to use them. Sometimes I find people playing that if we stick together and have one or two calling out targets or if they happen to need something extra I'm carrying then I can do what's needed to back them up. Sometimes you can do more damage as a backup than you can by running out solo doing your own thing.

I have a mic, so I agree with you. However, I'd like to add another reason why it's good to have a mic: MAKING FRIENDS. Seriously! Any time I've come across someone else with a mic that isn't an idiot I usually come out of the game with a new friend and someone that I can play games with that I KNOW has a mic. Even if my mic battery dies I have an Eye as a backup.

To whoever said people on mic aren't tactical, you obvious haven't played with me. :P

Typically my involvement on mic is either joking around, calling out enemies, or strategizing with friends. My experience playing in the BC2 beta and demo has been really good so far. I liked MAG a lot, too, but I don't have any money for it right now or any other games for that matter. :(

No. I had one for a day and kept getting harassed whenever I'd speak. How fun it is playing on a team online whenever nobody listens to you? It isn't, especially when they keep on asking about your sex and then kicking you for wanting to focus on the game instead. Console online tends to have too many immature 12 year olds.

Common Sense>Headset. You need a mic to capture and defend an ojective? Really? I never use my mic unless I'm playing with friends. Most people are smart enough to know what to do already and don't need a 12 year old kid going through puberty trying to be GI Joe and telling them what to do. I honestly don't like playing with people who always use their mics, because the majority of people never say anything usefull anyway.

Exactly if say a couple of people know how to play certain games they can just about own a certain area of any map without saying a single word before or during a game as long as they watch each others back while takeing out targets.

Don't get a cheap headset.. they should only allow bluetooth or the official one... i have the official and it works perfectly fine, not everybody having a headset isn't necessariy a bad thing.. case in point, XBL...

Really? Because I thought you would've been smart enough to realize that "would of" isn't the contraction of "would" and "have." Guess not. Bye.

Well I play SOCOM alot online and almost everyone has a mic on that game because it is so heavily team based.
