PSN+=Waste of $ so far

Seriously, where's all the features they promised were coming? Why am I not getting beta access? Why am I not getting exclusive game content? Clooud save storage?

Just one huge let down. It's $50 for a discount service and 99% of the stuff they put up there is OLD...REALLY OLD. If they dont do some MAJOR updating I will NOT be re-subscribing.

I totally agree with you tc. I don't know why people got all hyped up about the beta access though? I mean we used to get betas for free before, now we have to pay $50 a year for a CHANCE to get into a beta. Oh and as for the free trials, yeah thanks sony, I get to try out a game for an hour that was released a year ago. I could just go to gamestop buy it used, if I don't like it I will return it (great policy gs ;) ). We rarely get the "free avatars" and "free dynamic themes" that we were promised. Oh well, its kinda my fault I guess for getting this lame service. I really should have seen this coming, I mean they didthe same thingwith Qore also.

Well, it really is a "pay to save" service (which makes no sense in itself), and you lose anything PSN+ related upon terminating subscription. You'd might as well just buy it at regular price and keep it tied to your account for as long as PSN lasts, without the BS it brings.

I mean seriously, $50 a year to save $2 on crap shovelware? ...right:roll:

I honestly wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. Some people "bend over and follow" without question, but logically...what does PSN+ offer that warrents any fee? Can't be breaking your balls over saving $2...

I agree completely, however, I did just acquire the Undead Nightmare DLC for 7.99 instead of 9.99 which was cool. That's it though, aside from that, PS plus has been a disappointment for me as well and I regret paying for it. Thank God I only got the three months.

The day I spent $50 on the sub I got $54 in content and 14 more months to look forward to. Works for me. :)emitsu97

I wanted all the stuff they had in that survey. As of right now my comment on my PS3 is "**** Playstation Plus" and I will not change it until I see some new features. A few of the people on my friends list are mimicing me. Everyone that asks why that is my comment basically gets my OP sent back.

Oh and I just love it when fanboys say "well you just need to be patient, the good content will show up eventually". Look here, I didn't pay $50 to play the waiting game. Its like paying $60 for a game that has a broken online mode (socom confrontation), glitched sp mode. And thedevelopers say please be patient we are trying to make things better. My point is,if something is not ready to be released, DON'T RELEASE IT. Just make the content worth the money, and PSN+ is not worth the money (at least not yet).

Oh, I've downloaded quite a bit of stuff off the Store since the update. I'm not angry about the monmey spent as I have likely made it back already. Im angry that there's really no benefit to PSN+ beyond discounts.

This is probably one of the dumbest features Iv'e seen so basically you pay $50 to get money off games, and free trials and beta's. Oh and access demo's a week early. All of that Is pretty useless, yet people still buy It. The worst thing about this feature Is that once your subscription expires, all the free games and I think DLC's etc won't be accessible afterwards. So basically Sony are just robbing us with this feature

I too am not very happy with it either. They are giving out games that I already have, Discounts suck, Trials on very old games that are$10 ina Real store.I will not be Renewing.

I used to get beta invites way before psn+, but now we have to pay them $50 a year to even have a chance to get into a beta.

So far I've probably downloaded more than $50 worth of content, but I cannot stand how people will use that value and subtract it from their PS+ subscription to claim perceived value. Yes, I downloaded $30 worth of PS1 games - did I get $30 worth of PS1 games in terms of content? God no, the games they've offered up for free have been garbage (with the exception of Abe, which has been less than two bucks on Steam several times). The themes and avatars are a waste of money at best, so I'm not counting them towards my subscription.DJ_Lae

I subscribed for a year to see how it would turn out (was willing to give it a shot), but I doubt I renew. Just not enough content relevant to me so far to justify a renewal of the service. It might be great for others though, just not me.

it's just entertainment service, what do you expect? make $ from it? lol as long as someone is enjoying this service, this is not a waste to him.

IMO it is a waste
i don't really care for early demos or betas
i don't have cable or a T1 internet connection so downloading full ps3 games or anything like that
is a waste of time for me
me i'm happy for free internet to play games and downloading dlc for rock band

not to say it's a total waste to other people, but the moment I heard about it at E3 i knew it was not for me

Well, to be honest that's why I have a wait and see attitude toward PLUS...the list of features didn't impress me when it first went LIVE. I still think it's too early to praise or condemn...time will tell eventually

If you're a North American subscriber then I'd have to agree with you! :P

Uk and Australia have received awesome content thus far including:

• All 5 episodes of Sam and Max (which incidently was the reason I subscribed in the first place)
• All 5 expansions for Fallout 3 (fortunantly I hadn't purchased or played any of them yet)
• Beta access to Assassins Creed: Brotherhood

... And I only joined 2 months back! My membership's already payed for itself and I have another 10 months of content to look forward to. I for one am extremely pleased with the service.

Agreed and the biggest beef I have with PLUS is that if you cancel your subscription, you loose "ALL" of the content associated with the service!!

I got the 3 month package cuz it was only a few bucks more than the Warhawk DLC I was going to download and it was included for free. Then I realized I may not be able to access the DLC after the subscription ran out & I felt pretty stupid. It's really paid off though, access to the Dead Space 2 & Assassin's Creed Brotherhood beta has been awesome and I've gotten to play some games that I've wanted to try for a long time. The funny thing is, I haven't touched the Warhawk DLC since the day I bought it, so now I really feel like I made the right choice. Oh yeah, and this is only the first month I've had it so there are couple more months of bonuses coming my way. I'm thinking about signing up for a year when my time runs out.

All of that is why I was interested in PSN+. I figured by subscribing initially they could get some $ and initiative to keep improving the service but at this moment they can take PSN+ and shove it in a certain area.

To top all this off any of the so-called "free" content is rendered useless once my subscription ends? I was going to post on Sonys official site but unfortunately they're down atm.
