I'd like to see PS2 emulation, a built in hard drive, L2 and R2 buttons, a second analog stick and also more kinds of memory stick support (eg: micro SD).

Some people call the next PSP the PS2P, so I wouldn't mind betting PS2 emulation may happen, especially after a number of rumours suggesting the PSP2 will have graphics like the original XBOX, which virtually has the same graphics as the PS2.

Sounds like you're looking for the PS3. Look, the PSP is a portable device, it isn't a console. adding on L2 and R2 buttons just makes it more crappy, and for there to be those buttons, the PSP2 would have to be large. Very large. Assuming you want all of this, I'd say you're looking for a console, not a portable system anymore. Look, the PSP Go! Is an annoying branch from the PSP series, but beyond that it's not really worth speculating all of these extra addons. A second analog stick is a definite must, so I'd like that in the PSP2 or 'PS2P'.

you sure are making us look everywhere! but on a side note, i love what the ps3 has done to be compatable with the psp (memory stick, dl wise) its just great. im actually thinking about getting a ps3 since the 360 doesnt have these features. i had a xbox and a ps2 last gen but i favored my ps2 over the xbox so much. and having a ps2 and a 360, i still love my ps2 to death. you just have that sony feel to it that you love.. and nnow im going crazy to get my hands on a psp so bad... i probably wouldnt give up my 360 for one but i sure have been thinking about it.. the psp and ps2... thats all a guy would need to be happy! lol. and now that you think about it, ghosty is right. it would be huge to add on the r2/l2 and built in hdd etc.. the psp is staying around its 1 style for a reason.. because its portable, its own system, its own unique touch, and a thing totally sep from all the other game systems.

It doesn't necessarily have to be huge to have L2 and R2 buttons. You could just half-size the L1 and R1 buttons to make room for two on each side. Or maybe the Sony engineers will have a brilliant other way of doing it. It could happen.

I tell you, MS is probably no more than one E3 away from announcing some sort of handheld, and if that launches with halo anything before PSP2 hits the streets it will get ugly, mark my words. Attention Sony... Two thumb nubs, touch screen, a touch more juice, decent battery life& lock down the next Dragon Quest/MGS/FF exclusive and launch before the competition.

One thing would be nice...longer battery life. PS2 emulation would be fantastic also.

longer battery life, second analog stick, i'd like a slide out design like psp go but slimmer like an ipod touch with a touch screen, more power like wii powerful, 16gb - 32gb hard drive, and a new card format for games like ds but they are capable of holding 4-9gb games (no load times is awesome). it might be a bit expensive if they do what i said but i'm sure they'll be able to keep cost down somewhere.

If the psp is a portable ps2, then I think that the psp2 should be a portable ps3 >=D

..well, I can dream, can't I? Ps3-quality graphics would be great (if it can be done)
