I don't have a psp, but have been thinking about it. My question is, will the current psp be able to download and play games that are released via download after Oct 1? I mean, I don't understand what the deal is with this "psp go". Why cant I just slap a 16 GB memory stick duo in a current psp and download and play all these future downloads?

The units, as far as i can tell, have the exact same layout, buttons, etc. The only difference is the umd drive isn't it?

Just wondered, thanks.

yeah it's pretty much the same, just Lighter, Smaller, 16GB Memory, all Digital, with Bluetooth and some other features. Strickly a Digital Distribution user base. If you don't like downloading everything and want Hard Copies of games and movies go with the PSP-3000.
