you don't have much longer to go. In your case I'd wait until the Go is released. Hear what a lot of people say about it. Weigh in the good and the bad and then make a decision. And if you can, try to find it on display at some store and see if it's comfortable to play first.

3000 does everything that the Go does (minus the bluetooth support), and you can buy used games for it. Plus it has a bigger screen, and you can remove the battery (meaning more unplugged time, if you buy another battery and pre-charge it for swap outs). Not to mention... it's cheaper.

While I think the PSP Go is a slick little handheld, I'll stick with my PSP 3000 for a few reasons. Probably the biggest reason is because when I'm tired or bored of a game, I'll still have something to trade-in towards the purchase of a new game. Let's face it, I'm sure most of you have a UMD game that has been sitting around for months, unplayed in your possesion somewhere and you really don't want to play it anymore again. At least with that, you can still get something for it, where as a digital download is yours forever. Unless Sony implemented a plan where you could return a digital purchase towards the price of a new game, which I don't believe they would do (to many concerns about hacking, etc as shown by their PSP trophy support concerns), I'll keep my UMD PSP version handy.

3000. go is more expensive and it doesn't even have a umd drive. The 3000 can play both downloads and umd and it's still cheaper than the go when you get it in a bundle.

i was in the same situation as yours about a year ago... at that time i don't have a psp. but, after doing some research on which one is the best to buy(between 2000 and 3000), i took the 3000. now if you ask me to pick between the the GO and 3000. i still pick the 3000. Cheaper, bigger screen, more comfortable buttons. but, it's your money, just buy which one u felt comfortable with..8)

Personally, I think the Go! isn;t too special. The screen is smaller and also the price tag is quite high. I'll get a 3000, if I was you.

I was in the same boat as you a few weeks ago. After some research I found out the 3000 can do anything the Go can (except Bluetooth, but I won't use that). Infact, the Go can't even do some of the things the 3000 can do. The 3000 can: * Play UMD's (physical copy if you want, buy used games, sell your games) * Bigger screen * Better designed look (this is obviously personal, but it's my opinion) * Battery can be changed (more hours of gametime) * Way cheaper I got my PSP 3000 for E 144,- as opposed to the Go's price E 249,- that's a rocksolid difference of over a hundered bucks. Granted, mine was with a 4GB memory stick, but the 16GB memory stick of Sony is only E 66,- at the moment. It'll drop in price next month even more anyway. So, there really is absolutely no reason to get a Go. I'm surprised some people even want one.

I'm getting a Go for sure it because I got my PSP-1000 the day it came out, and I will probably keep it forever, but I think its time to upgrade from some thing I've had for almost 6 years, and the Go looks like it will suit me better being much smaller. Im gonna get a Go, but I will always keep my 1000.

BTW don't anyone say something like "its not that much smaller" because to me 33% smaller is much smaller.

Wasn't the PSP released in 2005? How do you have it 6 years? If you got it on release, you barely have it 4 years.
