I have had the unit for a good 6 months and now when playing certain games, specifically Assassin's Creed: Bloodlines I get some really fast high pitched clicking and its bugging me and i'm beginning to wonder if its gonna wreck the system or the game.

Is there any warping to the UMD shell or is the window still mounted correctly in the shell? Because as I'm sure you know, that can dip down and touch the disc... and any warping to the UMD shell will couse it to rub probably too.

Just my thought, Fenders... hope everything is OK. Does it happen with all games or just certain titles? I read your post but it's late and my brain is turning to rot... so I don't recall right now if you said anything about trying other games.

:P

Well it happens to different games, but Assassin's Creed is the worst. It gets really loud at times. As far as I know my UMD door is fine though so I'm not sure whats going on.

Weird... and the UMD is seating correctly? See if you're puting it in at an odd angle or if th closure of the drive door makes the UMD shell set oddly... otherwise i would think about returning it for a new unit possibly... if it's not too old.
