I've been lookin at some 4gb memory cards and I've seen a bunch of different kinds. Help me out and tell me which is the best/most reliabe or if they're the same. Some of the things I wanna know are speed vital info.

All of these seem to be the same but the one from gamestop is $30 more expensive. Help plz

i have sony mem sticks and a lexar one and they both seem to work the same. buy the cheapest one. although i think ppl favour the sandisk models more then sony. but that amazon sony one is cheaper. if your buying it from there then get it since its the cheapest. i have no idea about the ultra 2... it has the magic gate symbol so it may work and may even be the best. wait for others to post to make your decision.

I've always gotten the sandisk gaming sticks and they work very well. I remember an article i read where they seem to perform a lill faster than the sony ones. I'm currently using this one: http://sandisk.com/Products/Item(2564)-SDMSG-8192-A10-SanDisk_Gaming_Memory_Stick_PRO_Duo_8GB.aspx

but i'm not sure u'll need anything this big.

An 8G can give you corrupted data.

Tell me about it. It's happened to me a few times, that's why I keep a backup of all the contents of the psp on an external hard drive.

That is why I use a 4GB, i haven't gotten any corrupted data at all yet!

It does get annoying when it's happened to you more than twice.

I'm very tempted to buy a 4GB card now.

On the Sony Playstation website it says that corruption might occur if you use a memory card larger than 4GB AND if you're using a firmware below version 2.81. But I have version 3.95?

Hmm.....

Doesnt really matter man, all depends on how well you use your card, make sure when you plug it to your pc, your pc is reading it, and before disconecting it, you click "Safely remove hardware" just to make sure you dont loose any information, stuff like that is what makes reliable media. Go with the cheapest imo...

That sucks but official sony memory sticks larger than 4gb still get corrupted data when you put over 4 gigs on them lol, my friend also has an 8gb but when he adds over 4 gb all his data gets corrupted, he lost ALL of his gamesaves but now he backs them up on his comp lol. Everyone don't get an 8 gb memory stick.

I've seen plenty of people who have no problems with the 8gb memory stick. The problem you are describing is exactly what happens to fake memory sticks. I can almost guarantee that you're friend has a fake card and thinks it is a real card. Either that, or he is on an older firmware. Most people don't even know about fake cards and I've had friends who think that their card is legit and working fine, until I show them the proof. Honestly, if you get a 8gb card that is actually legit and running on the newest firmware, you'll have no problems.

If you want a legit card, just go to a respected store, and stop buying cheap fake crap from amazon, It might be prizier but is worth it

He got it from Circuit City but he lost the reciept so he can't return it.
