Ha, You could say that about any console then. Any console is complete crap without good games.

Well, the thing about the PSP is... it's a great entertainment system even if there aren't any great games (which there are).

So saying it will be dead in a year... that's silly.

um kingdom of hearts = no release date yet

um the new ffxii = no release date yet

um the FF brawl game = no release date yet

um resistance = no release date yet

to be honest,im a PSP slim owner,ive had it since it came out and enjoyed many games on it,but in all fairness... its future is really dark.people hyping games with no release dates and then we got the people who use past games to back up the PSP's Future.

I also own a DS LITE,i do use my PSP more but the games on the DS are more frequent in releases,and for the person who said ds aint nothing without zelda,mario...man your so wrong,the 3rd party on DS is friggen sweeeeeet!look past the shovelware and look what the DS has.

All those games listed do not even have ONE nintendo game in it.the 3rd party is amazing.

Na DS has so many games coming out all the time. just cuz companys sees a way to get money off fools i mean . a cooking game a dog game a pets game a learn how to do math game how to read. quick and blow in to the mic like a loser game. i mean come on DS is a quick money maker.

it does not take to much time to make a DS game cuz of the low memory space it has.

while the PSP takes time to make cuz of the hard ware. but hey that goes to show AGAIN. game companys are getting to lazt to take ther time to make a good game. they just want to make a quick buck off fools

i rest me case. a PSP can come close to PS2 graphics. i mean i got a few demos from japan and i have to say WOW talk abotu matching up to the PS2 its grate!

while DS can only math up to a N64

K so I'm a Game Stop earlier right and this broad who works the counter is telling this dude (and the whole store, with her loud mouth) that within the next year the Sony PSP will basiaclly be out of style because noone in the industry has informed this snipe about any upcoming games past the next year... mmm hmm. While we're glad to see Final Fantasy Agito XIII head to PSP, we're saddened to hear that this online-enabled RPG may only arrive in the distant future. According to an interview with Tetsuya Nomura (translated by FinalFantasyXIII.net), the PSP addition to the Final Fantasy XIII universe will arrive after the two other PS3 games: Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII. The reason for this? According to Nomura, there's simply too much content in the game. The "lengthy story" and "large amount of characters" makes it one of PSP's most ambitious titles yet.

Final Fantasy XIII will not debut until 2009 -- and who knows when Versus XIII will release? It looks like for the time being, Agito won't be on our radar until well beyond 2009, into at least 2010. Ouch.

Well bro. Think of it this way. If you don't personally like the DS that's fine. And if you think about it, that women was saying the PSP was diying, because she doesn't like it. It's all opinion.

Anyway, I agree, PSP is not gonna die anytime soon. FF 13 Agito, Kh BBS, Resisitance, Parasite eve, FF dissidia, stardust portable, patapon 2 and Loco roco 2... Thats a long list.

man that's a sweet list, im charging my PSP right now. time to give the DS a rest, im going back to my first love!:P

Man this thread is quickly turning into a system war topic, yet again. Btw Lara Croft looks great on the PSP.

I know, people have absolutely no patience at all. Mostly because DS sells like millions of games in only a month and most of them suck because of the Massive Shovelware. (Not saying DS games suck, ALOT of them are great, 20-30 of em.) On the other hand, PSP, gets a few games in 1 month or so. And most of them are good because it doesn't milk any worthless games. PSP wont die until the next 4-5 years. Quote me on that :D

personally i believe the ds is aimed towards kids. i mean i know there are older-aged ds players out there but a lot of the games that i see on the shelves are rated E. This is why it sells more because, well lets look at population. it is growing because two humans make two to three more humans. The old days the parents woudl get their kids a game boy if they were raelly good but the ds is out now and quite cheap for what it offers. i really think its a fantastic thing for kids with all those brain games and such. the pet simulator game is great to see if a kid really wants to accept the responsibility of a real pet. it also has some neat games that i woudlnt mind playing myself.

the psp according to my browsing of the shelfs at my local EB Games, seems to have more T and M games, with some puzzle games that are rated E that im not really into altough patapon is quite unique. this system appears to be aimed towards older consumers. mainly because of the features it offers. little kids dont normally download and listen to music, if they do then they probablygot a lot of viruses in their computers. teenagers like to listen to music, or watch movieswhile traveling or when they are bored. it also is quite more expensive.

i think the main reason ds has a bigger library while the psp is quite limited in its selection is because games is ALL the ds has to offer. i dotn think the browser is that neat from what i heard. The psp has alot of functions and its a product of which i use all of its features.

to get off topic: i have a cellphone( the razr2) and i pretty much use its mp3 player and to call that is it. i dont use its camera, or text or anything. so im pretty much kicking my self in the but cuz i wasted money.

on topic: that salesperson is totally wierd. i see so much ppl on buses with psp's now and some with ds (only for gaming though). does that salesperson expect that upcoming generation is somehow evolved to skip the teenage years? or all of the adult consumers will drop dead? or maybe all psp's havea time bomb and will blow up? i really dont see what this saleperson can say that makes the psp dead.

and to end this long reply. dont compare systems with nintendo. its on its own category itself. let it do what it does. it does what it think is unique and fun for people who are use to the tradition button pressing gameplay. i mean the motion for wii and touch screen for ds is totally unique. nothing compares to its gameplay so it shouldnt be compared. the ps3 should not be compared to the wii, but tot he x360. the psp should not be compared to the ds but to that iphone. which is not so unique anymore since there is so much imitatinos like that new samsung instinct.

i can understand ppl are loyal to sony but nintendo is not the enemy, apple and microsoft is.

ha ya that is the short of it. but you missed the part where i say nintendo should not be competed with cz its in its own category. i mean i serisouly dont think the ds and psp should be warring items. i really believe its the iphone and the psp. i know my friend came and said to me with his new iphone "thjis just killed my psp" and he is saying its awesome cuz he can download mario games . well you can do that sort of stuff with apsp if you tamper with it whcih he has done with his psp (freaken windows vista on his). but ya the iphone is psp's competition not so much the ds. those who like a touch screen can get it. besides ds pretty much wins with that guitar hero on the go. quite addicting and now its portable holy crap!
