This is really odd. I've never heard of an incident like this. The only thing i can suggest is back up your memory card on to a pc, then clear it, format, and try again.

Yeah I've never heard of such a thing happening. But reformatting will probably fix it.

I remember such problems were discussed in this forum earlier. I think the games you mentioned do not support memory sticks of that size. Try using smaller Memory Sticks that were available when those games were released such as 256 mb, etc.

Reformat if not that means your memory stick is screwed.

I have this exact same problem. only game that does not work is SF alpha 3. says it cant find the memory card. I have a psp 3000. tried using original stick, reformatting it, new 4 gb stick. doesn't recognize any of them.

I had the same problem. You need to fill up your 4GB stick with files until there is less than 1GB free space. It should work then. Something to do with older PSP games not detecting sticks over 1GB.

Well if you want to save your World Tour Fighter (I think that's what it was called), then yes you will need to.

This is a common problem for new SFA3M owners, and it has been discussed before how to solve the problem. The problem isn't directly the memory stick size, but how much free space is left on the card. Like a previous poster mentioned to try a smaller size memory stick, simply fill your memory stick untill there is less than 1GB of free space, and it will work. Copy a movie onto it or a couple of songs - things that take up a lot of space, but could easily be deleted if necessary.

I have a problem almost like that but it's different, when i try to save it says not to remove memory card while the light indicator is blinking but when that appears the only thing that's blinking is the letters, the light indicator on the psp doesn't blink and the game freezes there until i take out the memory card.

I had the same problem playing the game on Vita, but as a poster above suggested, as soon as there's less than 1gb of free space on the card you can create a save file, so maybe just load a bunch of things on your card, create a save and then clear that space again.
