I fully charged my battery the other day. I went to battery information, time left and it said 8 hrs and 20 mins. I turn it off, come back an hour later, check again it says 5 hours and twenty minutes. And usually its been saying 3 hrs and twenty minutes. Should I get a new battery?

As anyone who has had a PSP for more than two minutes knows the battery information changes depending on what you're doing. I've looked at my battery life while playing a Nightmares On Wax song and it has said 15 hrs and then when it changes to Queen's Good Old Fashioned Loverboy it says 7 hrs, 10 seconds after the song started. It depends on how long you have had the battery and what you use it for. Right now I don't really recommend buying another battery but it's your choice.

The battery information is rarely reliable, so I wouldn't be worried at all.

Not sure if this does have anything to do with it. How do you turn off your psp, do you just slide the button up? Or do you slide it up and hold it for 3 seconds or more.

I just turn it off.

I got the PSP used from a friend, and I use the computer to charge it
