My battery at full charge only lasts me a couple of minutes now when playing games. I have to be near a power source if I ever intend to play. Is this because I've reached the set number of charges (I read on some forum it was like 400 charges)?

Can anyone recommend a good battery replacement as well? If there are more economical alternatives to Sony's battery that are just as good, it would be great.

Also, since this is the Slim PSP's era, will Slim PSP batteries work on a non-slim PSP?

Thanks

If you can, buy the official Sony Battery , and you will avoid problems. For your second question , no , in the slim model the battery is smaller.

However you can use a non-slim PSP battery on a PSP slim but the battery cover wont fit.

sounds like the lithium cells have been burned out. if you consistently let the battery die, or you leave it on the charger all the time, that'll happen. same as with cell phones and computers.

well good thing is you can get an official sony replacement pretty cheap nowadays. just make sure its for your correct version. If yours isnt a slim, u might have to buy a battery that is new (but previously owned) on ebay or soemthing. stores might only carry the battery for the slim. I am not sure.
