I have downloaded a few comics to fool around with on my commute and have a few questions:

1) Where are the actual files located on the device?

2) How do you delete a Comic from your collection? Because I am having trouble locating the files on the memory stick, and have not found a way to delete them in the application itself.

There's a folder called Book or Books, you'll know it when you see it.

Would this folder only be visible if I hook the PSP to my computer? or can I access it from the device itself. I have looked everywhere and cannot find it. Also, do you know if there is anyway to delete Comics right from the application itself?

Yes you have to connect it thru USB, and find it in the PSP folder, it's the only way. I'm not sure, but there should be a delete function in the comic app., but otherwise just do it thru the PC

Yes... they need to patch the comic reader in the next firmware or something so that handling the files is a bit easier. I'm assumig you want to get rid of some free comics? You can back things up to Media Go and I believe you may be able to delete them through MG too... but I'm keeping everything I've downloaded so far. "Locke & Key", the "BLADE" 2006 series, and "Wormwood: Gentleman Corpse" are all highly recomended!

:D

the comic files are in a folder called books on your memory stick duo

but beware...once you delete those files you lose the purchase verification, so you have to redownload them onto your psp mem stick duo

you cant treat the comic book files like music files or jpeg files, they have a verification file attatched to them for pirating

Thanks Ston3henge, that is exactly right, I have downloaded some free samples and couldn't figure out how to delete them. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. I will just hook it up to Media Go and that should get the job done. Thanks also for the recommendations. I will check them out.

Concerning the post about "free" comics - Good **** Gawd, people are stealing COMICS now???

People... People. You are taking from the creative teams' pockets for intellectual properties they worked very hard to make. It makes me really sad when I listen to a podcast and hear that "Chinatown Wars" sells 100K copies in NA, and yet literally MILLIONS are actually playing it. Is there no sense of supporting the arts, of thanking the folks responsible? Of paying what you owe because it's what you would want if positions were reversed?

Pirates have never created something only to have it stolen. May your armpits become infested by one thousand camels. WITH FLEAS.

The moral fiber of this world is seeming mighty thin...

so what of art? that logic fails. the term intellectual property is an oxymoron to itself. u cant physically own something intangible. (a lovely idea tho for those that have so much and want to take what little we have) so they own the images in my head now too? i respect who and what deserves it. money is irrelevant.

sorry to double post and bump in case veryone lost interest. but i noticed the files are named very vaguely. the files will have to be matched up by size if you do not have softwarez so thats kinda a pain. also i havent seen a separate file that is for purchase verification so im still hesitant to delete paid for comics.

It's there. I ran into it while I also was having trouble deleting my own comics,

I just don't remember exactlywhere.

Either way, you can just download the paid-for comic again.

It's the free ones that give you problems when you try to get them again

No they don't own the pictures in your head but they do own their own pictures.

If you don't want to accept that people can own intellectual Properties then I would recommend leaving this planet as you won't find many people agreeing with you here.

Agreed... so...

OK... sorry. To beaner -

Perhaps I worded my post incorrectly, let me put it another way; People who steal, whether it's penny candy from a drug store or Mercedes off the streets, and everything tangible and not under society's laws, should someday feel what it's like to have something they created stolen by a two-bit hood with no moral compass who somehow figures they're entitled. Speaking from personal experience, it sucks.

The logic doesn't fail, your attempt to spin it does. Defending your position by trying to key it on a respect issue makes no sense at all. Programmers, artists, designers, writers, directors, cinematographers, actors, singers, songwriters, et. al don't have to have your respect for the law to be the law and for you, no matter where you live on this rock, to at least respect THAT. I hate certain performers but it doesn't mean I then have the right to steal from them. If you don't respect the law, then you ought to be judged and punished accordingly. You're not being edgy and cool by ripping someone off...

... you're just being a punk.

Not you directly, because I don't know you and perhaps you pay for everything you consume so I don't want to offend you personally... but without laws we would all be in a **** world. Make no mistake.

Take it easy, and see you around.

It's in the 'Extras' section, click on Digital Comics, it's not that hard, seriously.
