I need your help. The idea of no discs really appeals to me, however it is $250 . . . what should I do? What is your opinion?

If you go to ebay or amazon warehouse site, you can score a psp go for less than that price. More or less the price is just the same imo. the 16gb built in memory space, the data cable, the rockband game, I say it's just about right. just an estimate: 16gb is around $60 (more or less) data cable is around $10 (depend where you get it, might be cheaper) rockband game I say maybe $30 and a psp3000 is $169 anyways just check ebay, amazon you might get lucky.I need your help. I was in the market for a psp for the past few months. The different models can be confusing--people will say the 2000 is better than the 3000 and blah blah blah...
--The 3000 is the version I went with.
--I have a problem supporting digital download. If there is ONLY DD, then the control that can be put over pricing is rather scary. Not necessarily at this moment, but down the line as well. I just bought Pangya Fantasy Golf for $5.50 brand new. Not only do I own a drm free game, but there is resale value as well. You have to remember that all the content is protected by DRM and often times connected directly to you. So unless you have only used prepaid psn cards and have not put personal info into your machine, if you desire to sell the psp you will have to reformat the drive, getting rid of all the games purchases.
You can put the games on your computer before you reformat. It's not difficult, Media go lets you do it by simply click+drag.I was in the market for a psp for the past few months. The different models can be confusing--people will say the 2000 is better than the 3000 and blah blah blah...

get a psp go if you have a tv installed in your car and you want to play video games on it with a ps3 remote
get a psp 3000 if you plan on sharing pictures and movies with a girl anywhere, anytime.
3000 is better you can buy a wider range of games because of the UMD and you can still download games from the Playstation Store. But I don't like the Go due to the Playstation Store charging a lot more then a price of a UMD.
No, don't buy PSP Go nor PSp 3000.
I strongly suggest you to buy PSP 2000 Slim...
Easier to put files...

You know what? I have a PSP 2000 and a PSP Go. One is hacked, the other one is running on 6.20 OFW. IMO my PSP Go is better because it's more portable, is unhackable and looks sexy. I love the features it has that only the Go has like save-state function. My 2000 is crap and got it's battery deteriorated because of hacking. Now go back to your crappy PinoyPSP forum and not experience the fun of having a Go.I bought GTPSP for $60 and it was WAY more expensive than the PSN version. Also, PSN version of BlazBlue Portable is $10 cheaper than it's UMD version.3000 is better you can buy a wider range of games because of the UMD and you can still download games from the Playstation Store. You bought Gran Turismo for $60!!!! That's $20 more than the msrp. You got ripped off, no question. In the first week of release, I saw it on sale for $34.99 in a retail ad. A different ad, the same week, had it for the msrp of $39.99. Now, if I were to take the ad wi/cheaper price listed to the store selling it for more, I could have gotten an addition 10% off the $34.99. That comes out to $31.50. So I could have gotten GT for have as much as you. And it really isn't about the price here--it's the retail competition of the physical product that is healthy. It gives consumer a say in whether or not they are willing to spend the money on the product. With DD, we have no say.
Also, places like amazon constantly have game sales. I always see the games at least five dollars below other places, sometimes far more than that. There's even buy 2 get 1s.

I learned my lesson from that incident. :P Very few stores offer games at the RIGHT prices here, because most people here are pirates and because of import taxes. In my opinion, you should get the 3000. The PSP GO can't play UMD so if you really want a UMD that isn't on PSN, you can't have it. Thankfully, I think most of the newer games on PSN, so if you don't like the old games, you can get the new ones, so that gets rid of your disc problem. GO is more expensive, so I think its your choice; just weigh all of the factors before you make your choice.
