Any thoughts?
I'm actually quite excited. I think it looks kind of neat. I want one!

great for some, but very expensive for what you are getting... I went with a 3000 instead...Any thoughts?

There's a sticky.
I think it's nice for a new PSP owner, but not an amazing upgrade for current owners.
the psp3000 has a MUCH better design, a bigger screen, can also download games of PS store, and supports umds. Why would anyone want a psp go?SF_KiLLaMaNIt's smaller, lighter, more portable, and some say it's more comfortable then the 3000. It's a matter of preference, just because you don't like it doesn't mean others don't.
I think it's a pretty cool and slick device. I think it'll be great to have 16GB worth of games with you on such a small device and needing nothing else than the PSPgo (no more media like UMD or cartridges you have to carry with you).
What I am not to sold about is the price:
€249 for a device with practicaly the same hardware as the PSP had in 2005 ?
And I also want to see how you're going to get your UMD games on the device.
For now I'll stick with my good 'ol trusty PSP 1000.
put it this way, i have been waiting to buy a psp for ages and waited for e3... but after the Go was announced.. or more accurately, once the price was announced, i went straight out and bought a 3000. I nearly fell off my chair when I heard £230... I MEAN.. SERIOUSLY!!!! I could almost buy another PS3 for that!!Any thoughts?

Finally, a reason to replace my 1000. I was holding out for a model with 2 analog sticks, but it seems we won't get one... And Go! looks so damn good, I feel the need to use the word "delicious" to describe it. But I won't...>_>
[QUOTE="anzelm"]you guys are all dumb the price is pefect the first psp was 250 also and the psp go now has tons of new features the psp go is like a cell phone it has a mic and it has blue tooth everything is digital and its has 16gb built in WHAT MORE DO YOU FING WHAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A psp from 2005 with a larger screen and HIGHER manufacturing costs than in 2009 cost $250! A psp go has a smaller screen, no umd drive, smaller battery and reduced manufacturing costs is $250! Ridiculous. Bluetooth is nothing fancy NOR expensive. Built in flash memory is also not that expensive. $250 for the Go is just too high. Buy it if you want but it's still too high.Yeah, that's right. 249 USD was it not?
That's a lot of money for a handheld.

why would you want one. i mean if you have a good psp you don't need a psp go. plus the go has limited memory spce and no stick!! WE WANT THE STICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you can download the games via your PC (using Media Go) or through your PS3. you can easily upload the games via a tiny USB connection.Well the concept of not having to carry UMDs around with me is nice but what if you have no broadband and you buy a PSP GO? How are you supposed to get games for it then? I'm gonna wait awhile before getting one of these so I can see how the store turns out.

It's a tough decision. I haven't decided yet, but I'm leaning towards the PSP-2000 on Dell's website at $129.99. The Go is about twice that, though I do like the idea that it's more pocket-friendly. I've only got one UMD so far, so it wouldn't be a big loss, especially since one of the games on the collection is on PSN anyway, not hard to get back. Have you at least considered Dell's $129.99 PSP 2000?
I am strongly leaning towards the PSP Go at the moment. there are a lot of games both coming to the PSP over the next year and a half, and there is a great back catalog of games they can bring to the PSN network.
However i must mention i'm balancing whether to get the Go or the Wii. thinking of getting both and turning in my DS Lite (almost never play it).
the psp3000 has a MUCH better design, a bigger screen, can also download games of PS store, and supports umds. Why would anyone want a psp go?IMO, IMO, IMOSF_KiLLaMaNI think the design is way better
I fail to see the point in the advantage of having ~10 games with you at all times, when the battery life is the same as the old model. And the GO! battery is embedded, so you can't buy a backup, or replace as it's life starts wearing down. That alone should make the big handheld gamers think twice about making the change.santoron
It's more like 17-18 games.
It's the convenience.
[QUOTE="anzelm"]great for some, but very expensive for what you are getting... I went with a 3000 instead... Same here. There's no way I'm paying that much for a smaller screen. IMO, the 3000 is a much better value.Any thoughts?

I can see how some might like the small size, lack of UMD, etc, but I prefer my large screen, UMD etc. I won't be getting one, just a larger memory card.
i dont like the go at all. the design, the screen THE NO-UMD IDEA, everything. and a bout the price... it made me laugh like a little girl. for that price i can get a bareley used PS3 with 4 gamesdarkPSPfan
Now that's exaggerating.
