Personally, I thnk the $400 price tag is just so expensive and not worth it. The smaller screen makes me wonder why I should buy it and the awkward no UMD drive makes me doubt it. Apart from these points it'll be a good system, but currently I'm sticking with my PSP 3000.
The psp go seems to have aroused an aura of hatred around sony. People seem to hate the damn thing lol. Is it that bad? I personally prefer my psp 3000, but what is so bad about the go?Resistance_Kid
Well let's see, it costs an insane 250$. Sony has said there is going to be no UMD trade program. So on top of the price of the system I would have to buy all my games over again because the Go does not have a disc drive. Not to mention the wait for Sony to even put the games I have up on the PSN.
for someone that already has a PSP, the Go offers no reason whatsoever to get it. Unless you really want to plunk down the cash just so you dont have to carry your UMD's around with you.
What world do you live in? Its $250... And I like the PSP Go better because 1. You don't have to carry around UMD's 2. Its 43% smaller.Personally, I thnk the $400 price tag is just so expensive and not worth it. The smaller screen makes me wonder why I should buy it and the awkward no UMD drive makes me doubt it. Some stores let you trade in your UMDs and return give you a copy of it on your GO.I have a Go and I love it, I don't know what's wrong with everyone else lol

That is funny you should say that. Look at this link, 90% of the 230 comments thinks something is wrong with it and they got answers for you :)

You can do that with your current PSP. PSN's been available for quite some time... The only thing the Go has over the other models is bluetooth and a smaller size. Everything else is either the same or worse. There's not many problems with the Go for newcomers -the price, not having access to all games, no trade-ins, discounts, or rentals-, but for the people who already have a PSP, it's almost a 100% downgrade. Sony gives you no reason to trade up your current model for a Go.I have a Go and I love it, I don't know what's wrong with everyone else lol

Yeah I looked through that and most of it was mindless fanboy ranting, the only points I would agree with were; Lower price (maybe $50 cheaper), and standard memory stick slot (not a fan of M2). That's about it.

Yeah I'm a newcomer for PSP, but my real question is. Why should the current psp owners care and keep complaining about it when they have a perfectly good system already? Is it going to change anything? No. All I'm going to say is, I love the Go. Yes it has it's ups and downs but I like it and that's all that matters, and I don't care what the other fanboys think.
Every body complaining about the price. I bought my PSP 1000 six months after launch for over $350. Thats expensive!! In countries like the UK and Austrailia, they are paying more.
The money you get for your games is a joke. You get FA for them!! I was gonna get under a dollar for my Madden 08 and NHL 08 PS3 games lolz!!
Looks like downloading is going to be the future for my PSP. :)
I don't hate the Go. In fact, I think I'm going to buy a PSP 3000 and a PSP Go at the same time just as soon as my debts are paid off. Only $7400 more to go!
Why both? Big PSP for home, can play all games, UMD and download, Go for lunch breaks at work and other events away from home. I just can't decide. Why not get both? :)

You are right, everyone with psp shutup if ure not getting go unless ure helping someone else decide. Stop interfering with the go if ure not even possibly thinking of maybe possibly getting it, ure wasting ure and everyones timeIf it was $199, had the vast majority of the PSP game library on it, and Sony followed through on the UMD conversion program it would probably be a pretty popular alternative to the 3000 right now.

That might be why they're angry- Sony made it impossible for them to.The Pspgo is an alternative.
Sony can't win - Apple are doing well with the ipod due to it being portable and download content.
PSP give yoy two options - PSP 1000 through to 3000 PSP / UMD & chunky.
So Sony makes a PSPGO portable & download content only.
I have had all the models and in todays world of on the go, I prefer the PSPGO. The main word I prefer, you may not.
I don't get how everyone is so negative? Is it sony customers or gameboy/ipod lovers comments?
The price I guess was the big surprise, I did expext it to be max £150 - £175.
But as per an earlier post its comparable to the Ipod/I Touch.
