I want to buy a PSP Memory Pro Duo 4.0GB but I was wondering if I would actually need to buy something else to use it for the PSP? The product description left me feeling a little confused.

"SanDisk's Memory Stick PRO Duo is half the size of a standard-size Memory Stick PRO media and it offers the same technologies including high speed data transfer, built-in MagicGate, and high capacities. The Memory Stick PRO Duo is the ideal solution for the most portable devices such as pocket-size digital cameras and with the use of Adaptor, it can be used in all PRO-compatible devices."

So would it just go into the regular memory stick slot on the PSP or no?

Yes, that should be fine. The adaptor would be needed if you were going to put into something else but it will fit in your PSP.

It'll fit perfectly. Although, if you plan on downloading a lot of stuff, I'd suggest at least an 8GB Pro Duo.

whats the best deal on a 8GB and where to get it? I'm also on a tight budget but if its only like 10 bucks more than a 4Gig i'd get it instead.

Good find but unforntunely it says *Compatible with the PSP 2000 & 3000 models.

I have the PSP 1000, but does that mean the headphones or the memory stick?

It works with all three(I've seen that in stores) When it says *Compatible with PSP 2000 & 3000 models, it simply means that it works with them as well as the 1000, since some accessories only work with the 1000. Both are compatible.

I was thinking of picking up a 16gb too. Will the PSP1000 recognize it (I assume it would, but its always better to ask).
