Yes there is hope still. A firmware update can still change that but playing a game and your musc at the same time is mutitasking, multitasking is cpu demanding, cpu sucks battery and therein lie the problem, the psp battey life is already short more load is just a bad idea really.

Yes but if you have the option to turn it on and off, i mean i would have it on if i was in the house(alwase on charge in the house) and if i am on a plain i would turn it off to save the battery ...Simple
