Hey, i'm looking at buying the psp, but was wondering which psp system is better; the new, slim one, or the old clunky, yet durable one. I'm also concerned about the selection of title available for the psp. My parents do not usually let me play M rated games, so I was wondering if there are any titles that are worth getting that I can play. Also, if I get the older psp, how much more money would it take to buy a memory card and a game than buying the whole bundle of new goodies? One final question: I was wondering if you can play music while playing a game on the psp, like on an Xbox360? Thanks for the time!

The new bundle is definitely the way to go if you are just getting a PSP. Most of the PSPs good games are rated under M. Only on certain games can you play music from your memory stick while playing the game. I think most of EA's sports games let you do this, and both Grand Theft Auto games just to name a few. (although they are rated M)

Thanks, but I've heard reports of covers slipping off of the new psp and that it is poorly built. Is this true?

well the psp has a glossy finish which is really sexy. The material used is similar with Dark Vaders Helmet! as said by IGN... Its slimmer and lighter because they removed the chasis which is just under the LCD of the psp but instead they improvised and used somehting else which is more better of course and the LCD is now thinner.. Mainly the Hardware and the other stuff are compacted and used every space available. Also the battery now has a safety device. that's about the construction. So if i were you get the slim one!:D

If you are just starting out, i would go with the PSP slim bundle. It comes with a good game, good UMD movie, and a 1GB stick. That covers just about everything the PSP has to offer. About Music while playing, as far as i know you can't do this. I've never played any sports titles, or any GTA's on the PSP to tell you first hand experince. The only good M-rated game i can think of that is a good title. Will be God Of War Chains Of Olympus.

Wrong, rumor spread by a person who can't afford one. Read the Gamespot review of it, I mean...who are you going to believe ..some "rumor" by a random dude...or gamespot who put the thing to the test?

I don't know if they mean a review because I don't know if there is that but there was a hands-on around the beginning of Sept. Also on IGN also there was one of those. I think it might be in the features part near the top of the page.

I like your avatar- it gives special emphasis to your questions!

What is the best place to get a warranty for the psp? Do they offer warranties for bundles? Also, I'm concerned about the screen getting scratched. Is there a durable case out there that also protects the screen so I don't have to buy screen protectors( I've been through the screen protector thing before with my ds; Its awful)?

I had bought my Ds about a year ago at costco and it came with a bunch of stuff including a screen protector which after about a week was totally scratched up so i bought some of the Hori ones. 6 monthsand manyof playing EBA and Ouendan later they still looked pretty good so i'd suggest the Hori brand for the PSP as well.

Most places like best Buy offer replacement type warranties so you could ask therewhat the deal is if you get the bundle like do you return just the psp and get a new one and keep the memory stick (which you'd need to especially) and the game etc... also do you have to wait until the sony warranty runs out for the 2 year extended warranty to kick in or what...sorry i don't know this stuff...i usually just figure if something is screwed up in the first 90 days i'll take it back to walmart or target. That is i don't usually get the extended warranties...I'm not sure if sony gives a 1 year warranty like nintendo does with the DS.

I would recommend the slim.. Its smaller and slicker, looks cooler, and you can do alot more stuff. except if you cant play M games there are still lots of good games to get like Killzone Liberation, Socom FTB 2, and a nice variety of sports games.

I already have a slim and it's worth the $200.00. Plus I have the component cable and it's fun playing the games on my 23 " LCD flat screen @ 480p. The games look as good as ps2 games, however the 23" screen is only filled about 70% with the psp games but still very cool.8)

You can say that again! So all in all the rumors are not true and I should get the new psp, right? I still want to know what sony's warranty is like for the bundles. Also, are there any non-port games that I must get for the psp? You know, they are only on the psp and none other great games.

Awesome! I knew somebody knew about it! I'm gonna try to go to best buy or some of those places to see their warranties this weekend. Does anyone know the manufacture's ( bad grammar) warranty?
