Sony Ericsson has filed a patent for a PSP phone that combines a phone with all the awesome features of a PSP: a camera, TV/Video and, of course, gaming capability.
Although this is just an initial patent and the design is still sort of rudimentary, could this be Sony's shot at competing with the iPhone?
Unlike the iPhone, the PSP phone is very much gaming centric with the 180 degree rotating screen which will allow users to play games with both thumbs as they would on their PSP. Plus, the screen also rotates to just 90 degrees which will make watching TV, like, I dunno...AWESOME?!
Another advantage to the PSP phone is that it can utilize the same games as the PSP, so consumers won't have to invest in new games and Sony won't have to pay to produce them. Seems like everyone's a winner here!

IMO this is a bad idea. I already have a sidekick III. My biggest fear of this whole thing is battery life. The Sidekick III uses A LOT of battery life when accessing the Internet, I hope the PSP can work around this but it seems to be doing way more than the SK3 and original PSP.  Â
