I was actually thinking about buying a PSP if they can drop down in price a little and I was wondering a couple things.

Is it worth it to a PS3 owner?
They won't be outdated anytime soon will they? (Sony doesn't have another hand-held coming out in a year or two do they?)
How is the game database as of now?

I didn't put this in the PSP thread because I wanted to know the opinions of it from a PS3 owner.

No hes, asking aif its worth having a PSP with a PS3, for conecting. He wants to know if they do anything special that he should get one. dont try and MOD. To be honest the PSP is just en axension. You can use it like a remote for your PS3. Share music images, and some gaems have special little things. Liek a rear-vieew mirror maps things liek that. Is it esential, not by any means. Is it worth getting. Well, I think you have to ask yourself would you be happy with a PSP on its own, becaus of you wouldn't then there is not point in getting one. The connectivity between PSP and PS3 is more of a bonusif you already have one.

Well at GDC Sony said there are no plans to re-work the PSP as it is, and they didn't mention nor hinted at a new PSP system. So I'm guessing it is safe to jump in on the PSP wagon. I have it and I really, really enjoy it a lot now that it has a very extensive games library (I own 60+ PSP games). However, about the PSP interacting with your PS3...well there's not much right now, except data transfer between the two systems, the ability to use your PSP as a rear view mirror in F1 Racing, the remote play function (which is gonna be awesome once you can access your PS3's HDD from any wireless internet hotspot), buying PS1 games from the PS Store so you can play them on your PSP, and there's also something the PSP & PS3 will have in comon (a little thing called "HOME") but I don't know the details on this (I'm thinking this is how the remote play thing is going to function worldwide).

Could you please make a quick list of your favorite PSP games and why?

PSP Games: Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception - So far this is the best air combat game on the PSP

Brothers In Arms D-Day - Some say it's awkward but I enjoyed it vastly

Burnout Legends - Greatest arcade racing game on the PSP

Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded - Very nice compilation of classics

Capcom Classics Collection Remix - Same as above ^

Daxter - The best of it's nature on the PSP

Death Jr. Root of Evil - A lot better than the first, it kinda plays like Ratchet and Clank

Exit - It's hard to describe, but I liked for some unknown reason

Field Commander - The best military strategy game I've ever played

Fight Night Round 3 - I still can't understand why this game didn't score higher than the PS3 version, it's awesome

Gangs of London - Not perfect, but very good indeed

The Godfather: Mob Wars - It's not that bad

Gradius Collection - If you like space shooters or similar games like that, then this is a must buy

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories - Amazing

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories - Outstanding

Guilty Gear Judgement - Great graphics, but the PSP was not meant to allow us to play 2D fighters

Gun Showdown - Nice if you can get used to the controls I

nfected - Insane shooter fun

Killzone: Liberation - Very cool & very hard

Medal of Honor Heroes - Outstanding FPS, but short

Mega Man Maverick Hunter X - Awesome classisc

Mega Man Powered Up - See above ^

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops - The Best

Miami Vice: The Game - I liked this game more than I should, it plays like RE4 but it's too short

Monster Hunter Freedom - Great if you live with someone who has a PSP & owns the game

PoPoLoCrois - Very good well made strategy RPG

Power Stone Collection - One of my favorite fighting games

Prince of Persia Revelations - It's a very good port of the PS2 game

Pursuit Force - Fast paced crazy action & extremely hard

Race Driver - This beats GT any day

SOCOM: U.S. Navy Seals Fire Team Bravo - If you liked the PS2 games, then you'll like this one

Sega Genesis Collection - The BEST compilation game out there

Sid Meier's Pirates! - My favorite game of all time (check out my review for it)

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 - Good if you can find it cheap

Star Wars: Lethal Alliance - The best Star Wars game on the PSP

Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror - This is an instant classic, go buy it

Tekken: Dark Resurrection - Same as above ^

Tokobot - It's very original and I liked it, but the camera gets in the way sometimes

Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth - The BEST RPG on the PSP

The Warriors - It's a great game & you should buy it if you don't have it on the PS2

X-Men Legends: Rise of Apocalypse - Very good action/RPG (it's a very long game too) I

mported PSP Games: Breath of Fire 3 - It's a classic, but the load times are long

Tales of Eternia - The Second Best RPG on the PSP

Downloaded PS1 Games from the PS Store: Crash bandicoot - Great Jumping Flash! - Great Syphon Filter - Good

And also could you tell me where I should get the PSP and what accessories to get with it? How much should I spend?

Accesories: 4GB memory stick - I recommend this, if you're gonna download games and/or store movies PSP protective case - If you're gonna travel then it's a must car charger - Same as above ^ 2600mAh battery - Lasts longer D Pad adapter to analog stick - Good for 2D fighting games

PSP sound & display mount for watching movies - Good for a desk at work

 eBay or no?

If you can find it cheap and from a trust worthy seller, then by all means go for it.
