So I'm thinking about getting a psp.

But pretty much don't know anything about it.

1-Would I be able to get online with it, get on the PSN? My nintendo ds's wi-fi works...so ...yeah..

2-the umd's...can you save game files on them like the ds cartridges or do you need a memory stick? and can you delete stuff off the memory stick and put new game files on it?

3-Which psp should I get? Definitely don't want the PSP Go..

1. Yes and yes

2. No you need a memory stick and yes you can delete stuff off your memory stick ( same sort of "look and feel" as the PS3 )

3. If not interested in the Go then defintely the 3000 :D

Be sure to get a data cable and a memory card for your psp. Also get your memory card from amazon than on ebay. Alot of fake memory cards there. If you do decide to get a pspgo instead, ebay has them for around $199 plus last time I check. This one no need to buy a data cable since it comes with it. Also it comes with rockband and a choice of either little big planet or assassins creed free if you go to psn using your psp go.

I'm pretty sure he means a USB cable, it's needed to get ur music, games, videos, pictures over to your memory stick if you don't have a memory stick slot on ur ps3 or pc at home. if you are you looking for this to be ur all in one entertainment system on the go ur gonna want the bigger memory sticks *8gb or 16gb* I'm guessing since you don't want the go you won't be all that interested in downloading ur games?

if you have a USB cable for charging your ps3 controllers, you can use that for transfering data to and from your psp. and I recommend buying Psp games used on Amazon.com. I got a couple games for 1/2 the price they were asking on the Psn. and Gamecrazy is a good place to get memory cards. At least the one near where I used to live. I picked up a 4gb Memorystick for $20.and then a year or so later I saw a 8gb for $20 also. stores like Target and Walmart will have memorysticks for WAY TOO MUCH (like $80 for a 4gb). I use 1 card for Videos/music and 1 card for games/demos/game save files. also you'll want to download Sony's program Media Go. It works sorta like Itunes for puting files on or transfering files to your computer (library). also you can plug your psp into your computer and then download files using media go (instead of wifi).

enjoy!

1. Yes.

2. No, you need a memory stick.

3. A 3000 would be best.

I got a 'memory card' question for the PSP.. i eventually want to get many of the classic PsOne games & save them all to the psp but im wondering the cheapest way to go, im not sure how much memory i will 'need' although most games are probablly 400MB-1.33GB.

Games i will most likely get (in order):

*(games i don't currently own)

Metal Gear Solid*

Final Fantasy VII

Suikoden*

Xenogears*

Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night

Resident Evil 1, 2 & 3

Silent Hill

Einhander*

Brave Fencer Mushashi*

Tekken 2

SaGa Frontier 1 & 2*

Legacy Of Kain: Soul Reaver*

(there is more but these are the top games i want to get that the PSN offers)

I was wondering if there was a better setup then buying a memory stick that costs like $100 to fit all these games on but then i won't have the money for the games themselves. Should i just download them onto my ps3 then when the time comes put them on the psp? Or is there another method i could use.
