My friend put his PSP through the wash the other day and now it doesn't turn on, how much does it cost to have it sent to SONY and fixed?

They won't fix it.

They cannot fix "liquid damage" to the console, they'll just return it to you and tell you never to ship that specific PSP to them again. Whatever you paid to send it to them, will be wasted. You are better off just buying a new one.

Trust me, I've damaged my PSP with just a little bit of liquid and that's what happened to me. You can't really fix a PSP if the entire board is fried from liquid damage, and it's not covered under warranty.
